4.75 stars π Such beautiful tender lines. Some of these stories snatched my breath away while some were so visceral they split my heart in two. How is this a debut? I can't wait to see what more Arinze has to offer.Β
P.S I NEED to read more African centered queer stories.Β
I enjoyed the last half a lot more than the first half. The indoor garden?? Whenever Vince was a sweetheart?? If someone called me a kaleidescope of color, I'd go feral...Β So many sweet and smutty moments. π₯°
And then there's that epilogue with Grace and Jax!!!... age gap? I can already see the boy obsessed trope! I'm way too excited!!!Β
Also I hope they give the guy who was a widower ( I forgot his name even though he happened to be my favorite character π) a second chance. He deserves another love!Β
I loved this. Somehow, these two serial killers ended up being my comfort characters. They are so loveable and precious...and after that epilogue, I need the next book. IMMEDIATELY!π₯Ή π€²πΎ
Victor used to be overweight. Now he has lost a lot of weight and is struggling with his body image. He also happens to be a virgin...and a professor. So what happens when he falls for a lingerie model who also happens to be his student? This was nuanced and insightful and pretty interesting. It was in no way perfect (because it's still a product of the time it was written), but in all my years of reading, this is only the second time I'm reading about a man who struggles with his body image.Β
