this is a perfect fall read and another example of why strangers to friends to lovers is superior. i love getting to watch a friendship blossom between the MCs who are also falling in love without noticing >>>

if youre a child of the 80s or anyone who loves the 90s, a fan of steve austin, a lover of autumn and halloween, a reader of small town romances, and/or a watcher of hallmark movies i think youll enjoy this lovely book! if a romance novel thats gilmore girls x when harry met sally sound intriguing to you - pick this book up!

julies writing is so fun and easy to digest. she tackles some harder topics (divorce, teen pregnancy, grief, etc) in such a real way that makes you not only root for her characters but also understand what theyre going through. ive thought about this book and these characters multiple times since reading.

what to expect:
🍁 strangers to friends to lovers
🍁 dual pov
🍁 opposites attract
🍁 small town
🍁 slow burn
🍁 both MCs are divorced
🍁 single dad
🍁 forced proximity
🍁 set in the 90s
🍁 hallmark vibes (big city girl moves to small town and literally falls in love with the baker)

thanks to penpal pr and julie for the arc copy! 🫢🏼
