what an interesting concept. I do feel the ending was a bit abrupt and didn’t reach the full potential in terms of expanding on the true ailments the character faced. It was also apparent in locations where a moral was being established. Overall, a quick read that was definitely entertaining and unique. #LoveForGon

What great world building, this felt so strongly like a classic YA novel (circa Hunger Games, Divergent). The imagery was so powerful! I do wish that certain scenes weren’t rushed and that other scenes were shorter so I cannot wait to see how the rest of the series improves (as I’ve heard it does)

what an insane commentary on the struggles of brilliance mixed with child exploitation. minus one star for the misogynistic moments
