I loved this take on a vampire with a gorgon ... it was nice seeing a couple that went beyond your typical relationships in the books out there.
I truly loved where this book was going until it got to the "mate" thing *insert eyeroll here*
The whole mate thing is so overplayed, that it makes me cringe tbh.
In the beginning it was written as something that I could bypass, but by the end I was tired of it. *shrugs*

I have to admit I liked this way more than Under One Roof.
I saw some of the comments on how Ian compared Hannah's parts to space shit, but it's a nerdy romance.
The way the author can make me fall in love with nerd shit is next level 🤌🏽
I enjoyed the span of years in this insta love, that is why I rated it the way I did.
*I believe in insta love, but some people write it weird, thankfully here, it was just right.

I have had this on my tbr for a while now, and am so glad that I could read this before the year was over.
*it was also a reading challenge prompt
I am not surprised that I enjoyed this as much as I did, and thank my reading buddy for knowing me so well.
Although I was not surprised with the outcome of some of these scenarios going on, but there was well played scenario in the book which I did not quite see coming.
*I kind of wish that Billie did not have this martyr complex because I truly wanted her to enjoy some happiness for a change. However, I do see why the authors wrote it in that way.
Excited to continue reading the other books in the series!

I truly enjoyed this story of culture, language and traditions! It took me back to when I was surrounded by my family, including the not so happy moments.
I loved how the author brought light to family dynamics and the challenges you face when dealing with family who are stuck in their ways and everything gets handled how they were always handled.
I related to Lulu in so many ways ... especially having to deal with learning how to make decisions on your own based on the tools that you have.
I truly enjoyed the author's way of detailing the timeline the way she did, because it was so informative on the how the happenings from years ago impacted the present and how it played into the decision making of some of the characters.
I did not see a twist happening, and was so blindsided by it ... but after thinking about it, it made total sense in how the author brought it to light.
Some of the subjects may be triggering for some, so please tread carefully.

I was TRULY enjoying the cat and mouse chase between Kai and Paedyn. It was just so 🤌🏽. I could not get enough of it! I really enjoyed that I got the "talk" needed between them to define exactly what was going on with their emotions.
The only thing I wish, is that Kai and Kitt would have just talked things out instead of beating around the bush. I am curious to know how that ending will play into the next book, and am so excited to find out. 🍿
How Paedyn feels about that ending comes to be seen in the next one, and I am here for it 👏🏽

I liked most of the stories here ... my favorites were 1 and 4.
It has been nice getting to know all of them ... however, I have to admit that I feel like some of them lost their spark 🤷🏽♀️
*could just be me
I do hope to finish this series soon 🤞🏽
*I have been enjoying reading this suggested by the author.

I listened to the audio while following along in my physical copy ...
I was actually pretty hesitant to read this one, considering I did not really vibe with book 1.
However, I have to say that from page one, this one drew me in. I have to be honest that I did not remember what happened in book 1, but reading this just brought me closer to understanding everything I needed to know.
This just made me want to continue this series, because I am curious to know how that ending works into the next book.
