OKAY!! I get it!! I get the hype around Emily Henry!! this was my first book of hers and I cried like 5 times while reading it. it's just so realistic and well-written. a story with so many parts hit close to home for me. I really enjoyed reading this book (more like devouring), and I can't wait to read more of her works!!

The plot was just BARELY interesting enough to drag me along for the ride. The writing is so cringey I found myself rolling my eyes constantly, and Violet is just an extremely stubborn character to the point of annoyance in my eyes. I see the potential for an interesting plot/story so I kept reading. I also just wanted to see what the hype was about. Wasn't totally let down but also really wasn't blown away either LOL

Violet and Xaden are still annoying about everything, but the plot is
much more interesting in this one than the first because I prefer a rebellion plot... but then some of the book feels quite boring to get through after the halfway point. I just felt like at a certain point, she lost the plot a little bit and it was going in circles for a while. the writing is also slightly less cringey.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were all very real and multi-faceted, which I always appreciate. It was interesting learning "how rich people think" and how their lives are very different than most of the people's on the planet. All in all, a well written book about family dynamics and the gymnastics that can occur if your in-laws aren't so accepting of you.

just a fantastic romance novel. so well-rounded and well-written. it faithfully follows the tropes while somehow being extremely self-aware and having realistic and dynamic characters. all in all, a fantastic romance novel. will 1000% be reading (or maybe listening!) to this in the future.

I don't know what kind of crack she puts in these silly little books, but I love them. They scratch just the right part of my brain and it delivers all the stupid little romance that I want. The train of thought narration style is certainly something that isn't everyone's cup of tea--and honestly isn't always mine--but I just love being with these characters in this little town!! Cute witchy enemies to lovers romance. Perfect for a mindless fall read. (this one is also a bit more spicy than the previous one lol)

Miss Agatha Christie certainly took me on a ride!!!! This was my first time reading Agatha Christie and she sure does not disappoint. She has you guessing and changing your mind a out whodunnit every 10 pages, and I love that. When I thought it was all over and done with? BAM!! Nope. This book truly twists and turns until the very very end and I can't wait to read more of her books in the future!!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 36%.
I might pick this back up again but I just wasn't supremely interested in the story of the book...  The science was interesting but it can just be genuinely hard for me to listen to male authors talk about their experiences at a certain point... it just gets so boring to me..

The characters are lowkey infuriating because they won't just say how they feel (and stop sabotaging themselves) in a way that is infuriatingly human. We've all been these two people, at least parts of them, at some point in our lives. It was a beautiful book about love and friendship and life and growing up. Had to listen to it because the no quotation marks thing kinda freaks me out, but it was a wonderful book. Will be thinking about it for a while.
