A really sweet and tender adventure. Overcoming trauma, grief, and protecting your found family.

What could’ve been powerful and imaginative felt flat. The characters were all one note and not very complex. Flat. A few surprising twists, and I appreciate the choice of a few lesser known fairytales. Found myself wanting to know what happened, but the ending felt flat. And too easy. Honestly kind of lazy.

Such a good book. I loved her writing, and the way the story played out. My literally only complaint is that it’s split into like 5 chapters, and it makes it so annoying to pick up and put down. Love the writing and flow, hate not being able to say “one more chapter” and put it down.

I have this 4 stars because it was fun. It knows exactly what it is. It’s a cute cozy romp, with lots of smut. Had so much fun with it.

A beautiful memoir that so wonderfully captures grief, the little areas of your life it finds you unsuspecting, and the ways in which you can reconnect with those you’ve lost.

This book caught my attention, read it fast and had fun reading it, hated it at the end. It’s just true crime porn and a weird girl’s wattpad fanfic about being kidnapped because she wants attention.

Cormac McCarthy’s unique writing style is something. Not my personal favorite, but somehow even without the standard punctuation and dialogue I did not find myself getting lost or confused or not knowing who was talking. I think this book is interesting, but better as a screenplay.
