I’m not sure I can adequately put into words how much I loved this book. Sadie and Lucas were those opposites that fit together perfectly. Sadie pushed Lucas‘s buttons, and Lucas loved every minute of it. Lucas had a calm strength that Sadie needed. I loved the way the two of them just kind of fell into the “spicy” aspect of their relationship. It came across as very curious discovery, and I thought that was really realistic.
Both of them had some issues that they had to work through. Some issues that they knew they had to work on and some that they didn’t even realize they had. I loved watching them grow to depend on each other, and I loved that Sadie came to a point where she knew what she deserved and she waited to get what she deserved.
This series has been a fun journey so far and I can’t wait to see how things finish out.

Normally I love age gap romance but I’m not sure why Penelope Douglas age gap books off come off and a little creepy. I liked both pike and Jordan but the was they talked to each other and acknowledged the age gap just gave me the ick.

The audio for this book was ok. The female narrator one had one tone for male characters and it was sometimes a bit confusing who was talking.

Tris and rix were absolutely explosive together. The hate was definitely covering up so tension between these two and when they finally gave in it burned hot between them. The banter between them was hilarious at times. I’m loving these new characters and can’t wait to see what else we get from them.

I did find all the weird names/nicknames a little distracting, especially when there were 3 main characters with H names.
