📍“You’re right where you belong. With me.”

📍“Eh, for all you know I cast a spell on you.”
“Good. Keep it. I want to stay in love with you forever.”

Did I stay up until 1am (on Saturday) to finish this book because I couldn’t put it down?

Yes.

Did I get up at 5am (on Sunday) to go work?

Yes.

Do I have any regrets?

Absolutely NONE!

Dex and Lennox were a gift and I will forever cherish them. And Dottie. My goodness, my heart is a field of daisies 😭😭😭

My first of many books by Kay Cove.

This is a precious gem you must read.

Thank you for this ARC @authorkaycove and @netgalley 🖤
It was exactly what I needed when I needed.

📍”I cried because I was tired of being failed by everyone and everything, and I still woke up every day and put a smile on my face and tried to live my best life.”

📍 “Get the f away from my wife”

📍”I never planned on being happy. But here I was. Living it.”

It took me a minute to finally write this review.
I didn’t want to say goodbye to Hayes and Savvy.
I didn’t want to say goodbye to these group of friends bonded by p*in but also love.
I didn’t want to leave Magnolia Falls.
I didn’t.

And maybe I won’t have to. Maybe I can come visit whenever my heart aches for each one of them. Maybe I’ll write them as many letters. Maybe.

What I do know is that if there had to be an ending, Hayes was absolutely the best choice. I kept wondering what was under that hard shell. I often wondered who would crack it open. Savvy. The only one with a key.

This one was special.
This one was breathtaking.
This one was magical.

Thank you.

📍“She has never changed who she is to fit anyone’s demands, especially not society.”

📍“No one should be forced to be anything but who they are, not by themselves or anyone else in this world. You get to choose, don’t forget that.”

I finally made it to the end.

I lost count of how many books I’ve followed Rosalie. But I do know I loved her in every single one of them.

I can’t give anything away. So here some random thoughts:

•I must know who writes Rosalie’s chapters because there’s a scene with Sin (not that kind of scene! Take your mind out of the gutter) that is so over the top hilarious… I must know whose brain works that way 😅

•Hastings, never change!

•Dante (and Gabriel) always cause(s) a reaction in me every time there’s a cameo. They will remain two of my zodiac favorites, no matter what.

Ali Hazelwood changed my life.

Until The Love Hypothesis, I had never picked up a contemporary romance. Fantasy romance was the only thing I read and I had zero interest in reading anything else.

But then I saw the cover of TLH. Something about it spoke to me. Not long after I found myself reading the blurb and the STEM vibe got me hooked. I immediately knew two things: I was going to read my first contemporary romance and my life would never be the same.

So, it’s only fitting my first audiobook ever would be by… Ali Hazelwood. Honestly, I loved audiobooks for other people. I even convinced my husband to get started on them. But personally saw no appeal. I was young. I thought things. I was very wrong. The appeal came right in, asking “how you doing?!” and my mornings got a whole lot more interesting. 😏

Jesse and Viola were Ali classic. Easy to love, even easier to relate. Hazelwood writes miscommunication like no other and it always delivers big time for me. 👏🏼 I just wished this wasn’t a novella but only because I wanted more. I always want more with her books. Regardless, it was perfect as my introduction to audiobooks 😜

📍”I swear I have loved you all my life. And when we are gone from this world, I will love you still.”

📍”I don’t know what I would do if something happened to you, Raina. That is my greatest fear. I cannot explain it, just like I can’t explain much about my feelings when it comes to you. I only know that I would roll this world off its axis if I lost you.”

Oh. My. Dear. Baby. Llamas. Out. In. This. Wide. World.

This book. This series. My. Mind. Has. Been. Thoroughly. Blown. Away.

How is this series not everywhere?
How are there no white boards and fan accounts and altars?
Or maybe there are - there must be!!!! - and I’ve just been living under a rock.

This was incredibly well plotted, brilliantly delivered and impeccably aimed at my heart. 🖤

Now what am I supposed to do with myself?! 👀

📍“It’s nice, sure, but if a man wants me, I hope nothing will hold him back. That all he could think about was me until he had me all to himself.”

📍“I’ve never felt more found than being lost in her.”

📍“You snuck up on me.”
“You did, too. At a time when I didn’t believe in love or forevers.”
He kisses my forehead. “You’re the best surprise of my life.”

It’s so good to be back to this building. I mean, now it’s called the nest but boy oh boy did I have great memories before these three moved in. I even missed Ruby, who would’ve thought?! 😜

Three apartments. Three hockey players. Well, 4 occupants but that’s not here or there. And we start it off with Rowan. In case you didn’t know, MMCs named Rowan are superior MMCs. They belong to this super exclusive group of top book boyfriends. I don’t make the rules; they just are the way they are.

But my heart character is Kyleigh. She had me in her corner since the start. One of those instant connections with a character that just makes everything better 😌

Major bonus points for the fact I was reading this during NHL season kickoff 😎

Piper Rayne once again deliver on some swooning romance, with all the feelings and all the 🔥.

📌“You cross a black cat and you’re bound to get scratched.”

📌 “Being particular isn’t a crime, Precious. High standards are the hallmark of a high-value woman. Sounds to me like you just haven’t found someone who’s up to the challenge.”

📌 “There she is.”

📌 “You are going to be my undoing, Precious,” he whispered.

When I arrived to Outtatower way back when with One Look, I quickly realized two things. First, this would be a place I’d want to visit constantly. Second, Royal would be a king.

Now, yes. It’s true. The first Sullivan book or two may have led me to make certain assumptions, such as Royal’s personality was more… JP’s. But that was on me 🫣 Lena, however, was patient with this girl here and I did indeed get my opinions straight. After that, I joined the exclusive club of girlies daydreaming about Royal’s book (I do daydream about JP’s book but those issues are something for me to discuss with a therapist and none of your business 🤨)

Here we are. Royal’s book. And not only Lena made it just that extra 🔥, she also gifted us a black cat persona to go with (him) it. I can’t resist those. I just can’t. I’m powerless. And now I’m at a crossroads because I equally want to be friends with Veda and be her. Oh so very much. Alas, these two were the definition of chemistry.

{Do we get answers in this one? Yes.}

Add this to your tbr. Mark it down on your calendar. Do what must be done. Just brace yourself for October 15. Royal is about to enter the chat 😏

📌“How’s it that I was the one supposed to be marking you, and you’re the one who left the imprint?”

📌“And I’m terrified that you make me want anything at all”

📌“And what if being afraid is the only thing I know?”
“Then you give that fear to someone who can hold it. “

📌“I think you’re the perfect accent to all my dark. A light when things always look so **** bleak.”

📌“You don’t have to run anymore, Charleigh. You can rest in me.”

Oh. My. Baby. Llamas. What was this gift from the heavens to my little suspenseful yet so romantic heart?! AL Jackson, you goddess among mortals.

You see I didn’t realize. I didn’t realize what was there. I didn’t see. Until it was already happening. Until it was all there. And I was caught like a deer in the headlights. Unwilling to look away but with my heart begging me to… It was too much and not enough at all because I will always want more. This plot twist is what they should teach in school. This plot twist is what makes me keep going. Absolutely brilliant.

I can’t elaborate. I can’t… And you will see why on October 15. Until then know I’m holding in my hands a master piece of romantic suspense 😜

📌”She’s an angel, fallen from heaven, and I’m going to corrupt her.”

This book was so effortlessly good. The writing really did me in and I flew through the first 1/4 of Out of Bonds in one single breath.

‘Tis the season of football and Out of Bounds not only delivers on that but adds a bit of small town magic to this Friday night lights.

I would’ve loved them in high school, full of dreams and small touches. I sure did love Cam and Sloane as adults, down on their luck and all the way 🥵 She was his safe haven even if he didn’t realize it before. She was the risk, she was gonna take it 🎵

What a way to kick off October 👏🏼

📌”Fake it until it breaks you.”

📌“Distract me. Tell me a secret.”

📌“I like Sasha.”
“So do I.”
“Keep her, all right?”
“That’s my plan.”

Let me start by saying, no shopping cart has been damaged during the making of this book.

Also, Jax and I share the same favorite time of the day. Feels important I should share.

Now… I’ve read a total of 16 books, 1 novella and 1 short story written by Devney Perry. I’m not done. I’m far from being done. But this is one of those that will forever have a place in my mind. A place I can go and reminisce about. A place I can visit when I miss Jax and Sasha something fierce.

And boy oh boy… Every time I thought the story would unfold a certain way, Jax and Sasha went the opposite direction. It was absolutely gorgeous. It was pulchritudinous [look at this fancy word I learned today 😜 means beautiful, fyi. No, don’t ask me to pronounce it… I learned it by reading]

I want to also note that the last chapters were heaven on a page. But, honestly, all of them were. There isn’t a single word, line, page I would change in this book. There’s not a single thing I wouldn’t do for these two… my dear friends. That’s how I felt while reading their story. Like they were my closest friends. My secret to keep. My lie to unravel.

Thank you so much for this ARC. 🥹
