I’m not sure if I’m in the right mindset to read this now. Or maybe I just don’t like the writing style. I don’t know.

I loved the pace of this book and the premise is really cool, it had me hooked the whole time. I think the ending was realistic and not like how i expected it. I appreciate that it wasn’t too gory.

Got really boring, the same thing happened again and again. Hardly any plot. The beginning gave me high hopes but I couldn’t even finish it.

The book was good but extremely long for the fact that there wasn’t even conflict between the two main love interests.

They just loved eachother and then nothing happened. I liked the sub plots about her parents and Fig. It was more interesting than the main characters but at the same time I liked that they weren’t so interesting. I dont know I’m still trying to figure it out.

I really dont know what to think about this book. At times it felt extremely unemotional and other times I loved their moments.

much better than the first book in my opinion, super excited to see how different it is than the show. it was fast paced and an easy read.

this book is mad. the beginning felt very slow but it definitely picked up pace. the whole relationship between Violet and Xaden was also not the best in this book

and how the end is, im hoping it will be much better in the third book

it made me cry which is always a plus. my biggest problem was the pacing, sometimes i read 30 pages without realising and other times i’d read one page and be shocked i was still on the same page. i also didn’t LOVE the plot line of Cat, i didn’t think it added much to the story though i did like the character development . hated the sx scene right after Cat and Violet sparring, it was so unnecessary and wouldve been so much more endearing if Xaden rather had talked her through everything and stayed innocent in that moment.
