This was surprisingly well written. Specially considering that books of its kind are trash. I enjoyed it a lot, but it didn't blow me away. I also didn't realize this was part of a book series or book universe, but I doubt I'll be reading more of it soon.

This was so entertaining. 90% of my annotations are "what?" Or "what just happened?" Or "wtf". I only give it 4.75 instead of 5 because the book does start rather slow, but at around 45% it started to pick up. I personally think this is a little more sci-fi than it is good old fantasy, so idk.

Quick, take a shot each time someone says "purity culture", "religious trauma" or "TikTok". You're going to end up dead of you follow this drinking game. I have no idea why I read this in the first place, but it is SO BAD. It's my fault for believing the author on TikTok, of course they're going to hype it up but my god, I'd rather get punched in my left tit. The author took a premise and wrote it in the most boring and anticlimactic way possible. It's plain boring and annoying. "A million kisses in your lifetime" did the whole purity thing and getting over it much MUCH better, and without the family therapy at the end of the book. Was that really necessary?
Also, enemies to lovers? My ass.
I hope one day we can finally accept that "I dislike you but still play flirt with you" is not an enemy.

I am not getting into another long ass book with new characters that will surely lead nowhere. I'm done with this series, it wasn't that compelling to being with anyways.

This book needs heavy editing. There is not a single valid reason why this is so long. I get that it starts as a 1001 nights retelling, but please, this was so so so long for so little plot.

I have read it twice already, it's good and fun. Dane isn't a half bad dude, unlike most of the men in these type of books

This is straight up bad. It had scenes literally lifted from the beauty and the beast movie (the animated one). The characters are one dimensional at beast, there is literally no plot, no character growth, nothing. The pop culture references are annoying and weak, and the "erotic" side of it is so bad. Also disgusting. I mean, he had her gurgling his semen???? Fuck that. I truly hope the authors never write again because they suck.

As much as I love the series, I have always thought that the ending is a little anticlimatic. The main problem with this series, for me, is that it feels incomplete, like the author could have gone so much deeper into everything. That doesn't mean they aren't fun or a great read, just that I wish there was so much more.
