Sal quits her job as an oral surgeon after she finds out about her childhood best friend Claire’s sudden death and that she inherits her properties including a house in a small town called St. Stephenshire. We then follow her journey as she unravels the truth about Claire’s death and rediscovering herself at the same time.

I admired Sal’s courage. Moving to a new town and starting a new life while grieving the death of her best friend. It was a roller coaster ride and I was rooting for her. I was glad she got what she deserved. Also, I’ve finally found someone who doesn’t like pumpkin spice latte. My favorite was definitely the friendship between Sal and Claire. It was precious and sweet. We got to know more about Claire through flashbacks. She’s loyal and her love for Sal was unconditional. The secondary characters were great too. I was not really a fan of the romance mainly because I didn’t feel the chemistry between Sal and the love interest. I was also more invested in Sal’s life and journey. I’m pretty sure most of us (especially millenials) can relate to her struggles and achievements. I know I did.

This book is very atmospheric. I loved the cosiness and warmth I felt while reading it. It just shows how talented the author is. I appreciated how she handled some heavy topics in this book as well. There were some slow parts but overall, I thought this was a satisfying and heartwarming read. This book is about friendship, found family, and finding your true self.

It's pretty obvious where the story is going but it was still a sweet read. I'm very happy for Molly! This is wonderful addition to the trilogy.
