If you follow any of my reviews you know that Until You obliterated me & And  Then You was, is and forever will be my safest place and my love for it has no bounds, its eternal; Steph with Quinn are my spirit soulmates. But here we are again, this time with Wren and Sutton, it toke me less than 24h, it was the most important 24h (♾️.) Thank you Briar for being such a humble human being. For these everlasting tales that will endlessly live under my skin. 

“Don’t fall in love with me” was the only rule. But how could they not? 

“Please, don’t let me let you go.” was the only salvation. But how beautifully he fought.

But at the end it was “all so easy after all.”

If you want to feel it all with every fiber of your being, get lost in Maybe You. I guarantee you two sublime souls, glorious branded Briar banter, being seen, a found family like no other, a lesson, patience, goosebumps on your skin, acceptance and a kiss at the tip of your nose.

Hear me out. This might be the hardest review to write. I want to share everything and nothing all at once. I want to scream out loud about all the super dope things but at the same time keep them bottled up in my heart because of how special this book became to me. And I apologize in advance because I am a neurotic rambler too and this review will not be characteristic or exemplary but Nordika…

Nordika.

I mean.

Nordika, you made a mess out of me. It’s like Alexei and Gage have been waiting for each other and you gave us the privilege to be a witness to it all. The sheer intimacy and honesty of it all. This book is an understanding. A confidence. A affinity. 

And you Nordika are a little part of each character you create. Maybe it’s a bold statement but the empathy and respect for human emotion I feel through the pages come straight from your heart with a bit of pure humanly banter. This book is a testimony to it. 

Monday. Tuesday’s are reserved for red flags. Wednesday. Thursday. Friday. Saturday. I am feeling like a Wednesday. But for now Sundays just became my favorite.

My third book by Maya and it’s the third time I am saying this but if you want to be woo’ed let it be by Maya 🫶🏼. We are given true romance every single time. That vulnerability. I love when an author writes in a way that makes you feel present, like you’re standing right in that fictional town. You smell the air, feel the wind, experience the atmosphere. I felt like I was standing alongside watching it all unfold between Beau and Trevor. An equal sought for attention and unconditional comfort. About 240+ pages of love.

Nothing for them from that moment was easy. Acceptance, understanding. But wouldn’t you do anything for your person? Wouldn’t you want it to be real? All that’s holy codependency. I mean, no one, no one writes codependency like August does. No one. You feel the uniqueness and diversity of each character - every - single - time. 

I had so many favorite moments while reading but one that will forever stay in my mind is the glass tree. The representation of it, that final moment. 

Don’t go into this book expecting it to be what you have read before from the Author. Each book stands on its own. Each book with its own greatness. It’s a privilege to be part of that village. 

I am not going to summarize the blurb for you all but in a few words I can tell you what to expect: care; passion; fury; humanity; retraction; sensibility; yearning; inclination. 

Ps. I’m sorry August but Gavin needs a story. If he wasn’t in the plans. How much do we have to pay for it? With body parts? 💀.
