If you look up “unreliable narrator” in the dictionary it’s just this book. Good LGBTQIA rep. Dark story.

Okay I liked parts of this but the timeline was SO hard to follow and in the end I was just kinda like…okay? Maybe it was just the wrong time for me.

I did listen to the audiobook and Cara Gee should narrate every SciFi novel..I don’t make the rules but that’s a rule now

Perfect. Elegant. Show stopping. I want to spend YEARS looking at each scene so I get all the tiny pieces.

This moved me to tears several times. As a trans person parts of Dean’s story felt like I was reading my own diary.

I loved this.
Its less funny than the first one but I think i liked the plot better…ugh I don’t know they are both incredible…
Also I loved getting to meet new types of aliens.

I LOVED THIS.
There are so many things I loved…the writing style, the plot, the characters, the GROWTH. ugh. Tessa felt SO real and I loved the questions it asked about relationships, the struggle and joy of having disable siblings and the fear of rejection. SO. GOOD.

So I hate rating this so low but the constant switching of perspectives made it really hard to get attached to characters and follow the story.
I also felt like the end was so anticlimactic.

I love the action…I get really tired of the long winded explanations. I will say I love the style of narration where the reader gets to read what happened instead of a narration of what happened. The last chapter gets quite dark. Felt like a pretty significant move.
