A Curse for True Love by Stephanie Garber

This series has consumed me. This book had me so emotional throughout. Angry, heartbroken, confused, betrayed. All the feels. I love Eva & Jacks so much.Ā
My only complaint is I feel like some loose ends were left (which I also felt about the Caraval series)
What happened to her step sister? What happened to Luc? Does LaLa ever finally get her love? Perhaps, the most important question of all, WHAT WAS THE DEAL WITH THE APPLES!?

This is the best book in the entire Caraval series universe. I know thereā€™s still one more after this and I hope it keeps the momentum going. This book had me smiling, laughing, crying, gasping, etc. So many emotions. I love it. Iā€™m a sucker for a doomed romance & broken souls. The ending has me messed up though, mind the cliff.

I love the fact Jacks is back and weā€™re getting to learn more about him. I also enjoyed briefly seeing Tella & Scarlett again. I like the new FMC, I wasnā€™t a fan of her at first but sheā€™s growing on me. The ending of this book seemed sudden, I went to turn the page and realized it was over. Definitely enjoying this series

This was a really interesting, fast paced series. I enjoyed it more than I expected honestly. There were a few parts in this book that felt anticlimactic. I wonā€™t say names for spoilerā€™s sake but every death in this felt so ā€œmehā€ I expected more of an emotional scene each time. Ā I also would have liked to learn more about her mother, how she ended up in the cards, where Tella & her father ended up, etc. Romantically, the conclusion was amazing. However there felt like some loose ends in other aspects of the plot.Ā

I was worried this book would be a knock off of the first with the whole game thing happening again, however the Caraval wasnā€™t a central focus in this one. I loved this book even more than the first. Lots of twists, challenges, and romantic tension.
However, I got the ick when it mentioned Tella only being 16. I know this is a YA book but I was not expecting her to be a teenager, and her love interest is definitely portrayed as being older which kind of grossed me out.

I read this in a day. It had me so confused in the best of ways. The descriptions were amazing, it really felt like you were thrown into this crazy, upside down world. I felt like I was going as mad as the players in the game do.Ā

I didnā€™t expect to like this series but it was great. Each book was a quick read and each one kept getting better.Ā
This was a great end to the series, a HEA well deserved. Jude went through so much and Iā€™m glad she ended up happy. The plot was interesting, I never knew what to expect next.

First & foremost, if you thought the first book ended on a cliff? Beware because this one makes it seem like nothing.
This book was definitely slower paced than the first, it was more focused on building up the plot and setting things up for the future books. It was more about the characters & their development than the actual plot. There was definitely action throughout & plenty of moments that made my anxiety spike. Absolutely loving this series.

Finished this book in a day, even snuck it to work to read between customers. Iā€™m loving this series so much more than I expected. Iā€™m usually into romance > every other plot point. Although there are definitely some sparks throughout this book what has me on edge is wondering what Jude is going to do next. The characters are unpredictable and I love it.

I wasnā€™t sure how I would feel about this book. Iā€™m usually into more adult romance genres. However, I devoured this book in a day. You never knew what was going to happen next. There were also quite a few plot twists that threw me off but kept things interesting. I feel like the conclusion was a little lacking but I understand it was left open to continue in the next book.Ā
