Solid young adult read. The reveal was a little lackluster, but I still enjoyed reading this one. Short chapters made it move really quickly.

This was too much for me. It's incredibly gruesome and too many twists feel forced to the point where it feels ridiculous at times.

A couple spots were a little dry and there was a smidge more jargon than I expected, but it's a really interesting story. I don't think I would've like  Chris very much, but it's difficult not to respect his volition.

This book was so intense. Almost too intense for me personally. I kept worrying about that damn dog. I loved the message about climate change though. I also always enjoy how Gratz intertwines his characters' stories at the end.

Idk. It was fine. I called the ending by page 50. I'm also tired of female narrators in mystery/thriller novels being stupid. Like... come on. You can create a good story without needing the narrator's dumbass decisions to drive the action forward.

I liked it but it just felt incomplete to me. What happened to all those other men? Why white cats? Did I miss something? I just had more questions than I would have liked. I will definitely be recommending this to the freshmen boys in my classroom.

Lovely and poignant. "Bless This Land" was my favorite.
