Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 1 by Stephenie Meyer

I feel like one of the very few to have read the actual twilight series but I remember reading this when I was younger. It definitely didn’t make any sense to me but I loved the movies so I fell in love.

Reading it now it makes me realise how many things is wrong with the overall storyline and plot and how things don’t add up. I can’t compare this to the original twilight series however compared to the movies it’s very different.

If you’re looking for a cheesy book to read and you already know the premise of the twilight franchise then I’d say give this a go. I loved this story more for nostalgia reasons than I did the actual story.

Nostalgia reasons I’d give this 5 stars.
Storyline and plot I’d give it a 2 stars.
How well it matched to the movie I’d give it 2 1/2 stars.

I don’t know whether I didn’t like this book because I haven’t read “Small Great Things”, or if it was just the fact that it didn’t grip me in from the beginning. I found myself reading this just for the sake of it in the end.

I found myself skipping the majority of this after reading about 1/4 of it and picturing it’s only 63 pages long I don’t think that’s a good sign.

I watched the film before reading the book and was a huge fan. I was hesitant going in to this as I knew details weren’t going to be the same and I was worried it was going to ruin the movie for me, but it hasn’t.

I almost look at the movie and book as 2 different stories. They have the same characters, plot, events and drama but I see the book in a different light to the movie.

It wasn’t my favourite romance YA I’ve read but I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series and seeing how they turn out once adapted into a movie.

The ending for this book was different to the ending in the film, which makes me interested to see how the second book of this series starts and what else can be made of this romance for it to be a trilogy.

A classic book that most people have read in high school, but hated. I was one, until I watched the film which made me fall in love with the story.

Steinbeck is a classic literature author that will go down in history. The book; Of Mice and Men is set during the Great Depression and features George and Lennie. They battle through tough times and decide to find a way out. Steinbeck describes Lennie as mentally disabled and due to the unawareness of his strength he kills a women on the farm where they were working. George and Lennie escape, where George ends up shooting Lennie in the back of the head to allow him to feel peace and escape without the worry of his actions, consequences and constance self-struggle.

Steinbeck writes this book in a truly beautiful manner that could not be replicated now.

True to the film and a different read for me but I did enjoy it. A small book so quite easy to read and follow along with.

I’m not usually one for horrors, whether that be literature or film, however after reading this for an English exam, it made me realise that it’s a genre I wouldn’t completely rule out.

Honestly I’d give this more a 3.5*

The book overall was pretty slow and hard to get into. It wasn’t until the end of chapter 8 where I was really enjoying it. But it was totally worth it. Shock factor alone the ending of the book is a 5*.

I didn’t have any idea what the book was about before hand or any expectations, so I was surprised with how it turned out.

I’d definitely recommended it for those looking for an easy read, but maybe not if you want a book to get lost in.

A classic but funny story that Rainbow writes about perfectly in such an interesting way that is still easy to read.

I picked this up because it's based around a boy who has Aspergers Syndrome, but isn't an informative book.

Being someone who has Aspergers I was really excited to read this. It's an interesting but incredible read and made me feel like I wasn't alone in the way that I was thinking and that others were out there, despite it being fiction.

Whilst on holiday I spent the entire day in the hotel room because I couldn't put this book down. Such a light hearted, teen contemporary romance that I'd love to re-read again.
