i actually really liked dante in the aspect that he had the strong belief of never harming women or children. being head of his mafia family, a lot of time in the books, the mmc does not give a single damn about who he harms, but i loved how dante truly cares about his family, and gave off true morally grey character vibes, because yk his moral compass wasn’t completely in the dumps. and adalina, i actually ADORED her, i loved how strong she was, and how even though she endured so much growing up, that she still had this dominant personality about her. she wasn’t a flat character, and i feel like a lot of fmc’s, especially ones who were in situations like adalina’s, just have no personality to them, as they are so fragile and vulnerable. i would continue to read more from this author because i actually liked the side characters, and i’m curious to hear their stories, despite all the wattpad feels i did get from this.

no rating as it is a prequel (novella), but as having received an arc for the first book, ruthless sinners, i am definitely intrigued to see what happens between adalina and dante

It’s the way I knew my rating from only 17%. Yes, the review is a little late, but that’s on me; I had the dates mixed up and never double checked. But I loved this book so much. Just the way Ira went out of his way, even though Merit was kind of an ice queen, to help her, and just the story of the two of them was just so heartwarming, and once again, I am honored to have received an arc and read it when I did.

(I will be editing this tomorrow with my official review)
