Ex-mas was a very good Christmas love story. I liked the relationship between Lila and Beau, it was complicated but cute. I thought them being stuck on that roadtrip was the best thing to happen! Lila so deserved to be happy and she was happy with Beau not Erik. Carly was an awful friend and person, I really disliked her character. I wish Lila knew she didn’t need the popular people to be cool and fun, but I’m happy she figured that out in the end.

This sequel was good, not my favorite but it was a good end to the story. I like that they found their way back to each other again in the end.

I watched the movie for this book back when it came out, it made me sob then. Now the book has done the same.  It was amazing and heartbreaking!

The Quill and the Vial gave me such Howl’s Moving Castle vibes, I loved it so much!! Jayce is an amazing character, she’s the apothecary I wish to be. Sav is such a cutie! This book was so cozy and adventurous, looking forward to more from this series. Can’t wait for book two.

Wow, Wow, Wow,  Noelle your story telling is absolutely amazing!! All the books leading up to this point have been wonderful reads. I wish I could live in the world of Kiriku. Kilo, Finae, and Shenrae are now my all time favorite characters. They all grow so much within the stories, they all inspire me to become a better person.  I really enjoyed finally being able to see Syrane’s side of things, I’ve been wondering his thoughts since book one!  The new dangers and Reality to us in book three made my heart race, but I don’t want to spoil it, Go read The Shadow’s Creed Saga for yourselves. This saga is truly amazing!!!

After reading Shadow’s Hand I was wanted more, well I got it!!  Phantom’s Lament was such a great book. I am amazed after finally being able to see Hitori’s side of things, her power in the skills, and the determination she has for what she believes is right. Kilo and Finae’s progression with the skills as well was magical to read, The Skills are such an amazing new type of magic that has me captivated! The growing relationship between Kilo and Rin is wonderful, I love that Kilo went from not trusting her to caring for her very much!  I can’t wait to read book three and see what more the skills have to offer!

3.5

I received 5 of the 9 books in this collection of short stories as an ARC. My overall rating for the book is a 3.5, but each story I received has been rated as well.
They were all good stories, But sadly not all the stories were for me. I understand that short stories are just little stories put together as a “what could be”, but some of these stories seemed rushed and thrown together.
Celestial Rescue was a good story, I like that the beginning of the story grabbed you right away with action and danger. The relationship between the two characters was well written.
Forest Fated was another good story in this collection. The enemies to lovers relationship was so good, the progression of Ariella and Cassius’s relationship while working together for a common goal was great. I would love to see more of their story.
