the only way i can think of describing this book is "the breakfast club meets murder." the writing style was so captivating. i was on the edge of my seat trying to find out who killed who, who framed who, and who did what to who.

i enjoyed its not summer without you just as much as the first book of the series. seeing belly, conrad, and jeremiah grieve in their own ways was heartbreaking. the authors writing is extremely captivating and easy to read.

i had always heard people say how great the movie was so, i wanted to give the book a try. i had to reread it halfway in because it felt slow at first, once i decided to annotate it and pay extra attention to the writing style, the book was magnificent. the style of writing is still difficult for me to get into but overall charlie's coming of age story was enlightening and made me emotional at parts.

if you like a slow-paced thriller this book is for you. the plot twist at the end was quite surprising, i didn't see it coming. the main character anna wasn't exactly my favorite but, i grew more fond of her towards the end of the story.

i adored this book, madeline miller's writing style is breathtaking. i had never read her style before therefore, the begining of the story took me some time to comprehend. patroclus and achilles were engaging characters, their relationship blossomed and i loved the love story between them. i cried at the ending of the book, i already have one of her books "circe" in my cart waiting to purchase.
