After you’ve read “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” you think all of the other novels written by the author would be just as great.. Well, I was wrong.

“Daisy Jones and the Six” was boring. Slow paced and I didn’t care for how the book was written in interview form. If the author wanted me to feel mind blown by her idea of a plot twist in the end, she failed.

This was overhyped and I wasted money on it. Upsetting.

BRILLIANT. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.

this just became my 2nd favorite book and i must say, this novel left me speechless and an emotional wreck, although i didn’t care much for how it ended, the entire book was a huge roller coaster for me. i couldn’t help, but to love the main evelyn hugo and to hate her. i laughed with her and cried. this novel was so well written that not one page left me bored.

i loved this book!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.
when i first heard about this book, i was very excited to begin reading, but this might be the silliest novel i’ve read this far. the characters are dramatic, there really isn’t a plot, just good ol’ lesbian love drama. i stopped at 100 pages and nothing grabbed my attention within that frame. it was poorly written.

LOVED this book and i loved the first, as well. the author really knows how to keep you invested with every turn of the page! not once did i burn myself out on reading this novel; not once did i grow bored.

the ending was bittersweet, but a good ending.

here’s a fun challenge: take a shot for every time the author says “bramble”. that word is in every chapter, lol.

( definitely looking forward to reading her next series about snow white and anne bolyne; another sapphic read! i believe it comes out in 2024.. )

BORING.
Nothing grasped my attention at all.
This was very disappointing since I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this novel and now that i did i regret casting aside another book for this.

Don’t bother. There are better books with the same “dark” tones out there.

If you’re into high fantasy novels with a bit of a sapphic turn, priory is for you! Without spoiling anything i’d have to say Kalyba, the witch, was my favorite character. — I hope to read more about her in Samantha’s new prequel, “A Day of Fallen Night”.

I can go on and on about how friggin’ good this novel is, but trust the reviews.. it’s highly recommended for a reason! I rated the novel 4.75 for a reason, merely because I would’ve like Tane’s story to be longer. I found myself cheering for her and drinking in each page that had her name splattered on it.

Other than that, get your hands on this book and lose yourself to dragons and witches, curses and riches!

i just finished reading this brilliantly written novel.. my hands are still shaking while i’m typing this and my chest is tightened. my heart is crying and if i wasn’t in public, i would be sobbing along with it. — though, the main antagonist meets a well-deserved end, it doesn’t heal what he’s done. it doesn’t mend what’s been broken and the ending only left me wondering of the two protagonists’ futures.. my eyes are stinging because of the frustration and heartbreak i experienced throughout this book and it hurts me to know that strong, innocent women were burnt alive and beaten over the littlest thing’s centuries ago and even though we women do not experience that amount of physical pain now, we are still targeted and seen as a weak and wicked whole. women still suffer, fight and after reading this book one thing is made sure; i will continue to uplift and fight for women today. my sisters and friends..

if i could give this review 100+ stars, i would!
