Second time reading through this in preparation for assistant directing it. I think I’m actually starting to understand this shit. But also it makes me queasy to think about the technical aspects of this. Very excited for it all though!

A very interesting way to use a zombie apocalypse narrative structure to mean something more

A book that I know would be better if I had consumed all the media mentioned before reading it. But a thrilling lense to view media that’s been produced and a great source of places I should start to learn more!

I liked it. But it just made me want to reread werewolf skin. Which I like a lot

A lovely change of pace from what I usually read! Didn’t like how the man never gets a god damn name and the whole weirdness surrounding religion was odd. But a lovely book nonetheless

The more I read goosebumps and other children’s literature the more I question how much authority these kids are given. Why are sixth graders in charge of decorating a dance?? Still enjoyable to read though

It’s like someone tried to write Patrick Bateman without any nuance or understanding. Just a guy who complains and sucks

Fully captivated throughout the book. While only an exploration of the white upper/middle class, it digs into the changes that come with parenthood in a raw and real way. Especially the shift in priorities when your life isn’t just about you anymore.

I liked the concept but it felt so dry. I didn’t understand what was happening or any of the motives, it had potential to be better but was underwhelmed
