I literally have no words.
This is my first time reading a book from this author and my god. I'm obsessed and I want more.

One thing I will say- and it's an oversight on my part for not reading the TWs- the amount of sexual harassment, sexual assult, mentions of rape and misogyny. Holy shit.

Other than that, I loved everything about this book. It was literally perfect. The plot, characters, world building, the tension, and creativity behind everything. I felt like everything that happened, every piece of dialogue, every character we saw mattered and served a purpose.

I'm excited to see Maeve and Zevander continue to get to know each other, for her bond with him and her creature to grow (I can't remember his name). For some reason I feel like her sister and his brother might be a thing in the future.

Can't wait to see what happens next and I'll quite literally read anything Keri's hands touch.

I was hesitant to read this book because I've read other books from the author and hated them but omgggg did this book have crack in it.

Only bad thing I have to say about this book- while the writing was amazing (dialogue included) it was hard to follow at times. It came across like the author was trying to hard to make the writing all fancy and extravagant but it just made some paragraphs confusing at times. I found myself rereading just to comprehend them.

Characters, amazing. Plot, amazing. Dialogue, amazing. Fuck that cliffhanger though. My poor babies need to be freed. FREE THEM.

AND THE FUCKING CLIFFHANGER WHYYYYY. I NEEEEEEED BOOK 2. I'm obsessed. Please.

Ok I'm not going to lie, I had very very very low expectations coming in. Firstly, this book was recommended by booktok snd i take booktok recommendations with a very miniscule grain of salt. I anticipate that it'll be another poorly written wattpad-esque  book but first chapter in I was already hooked.

I loved the premise of it- hidden daughter who grew up in less than fortunate circumstances finds love in her family.  Though I was disappointed that right when she opened up to her family there was a 5 month time jump  we eventually get to see what took place) and missed the "bonding" she did with her family. I hated that. Especially since the book focuses heavily on found family, I feel like we were robbed of that.

The plot was good- predictable but not bad-. The characters, relationships, her love interest (I'm simping for him and I refuse to stand up), her strength and the way she stands up for herself and her family, the banter, the smutttt like. I fear I may have developed a praise kink.

I hope the author seizes the opportunity to turn this into a series. I loved it.

Sp I know that it's set in 2090+ but there's something about the dialogue that I hate. I'm not sure if that's just me being picky.

And I find it so hard to believe that Nyx is referring to someone as a "stupid idiot". Helen saying "cunt and slay" is slightly more acceptable. However I'm using the excuse that it'd because the FMC was 10 years old- just to make myself feel better.

Also I hate the format of the ebook. I'm not sure if this is intentional or if it's just the copy that I have but I'm unable to edit the  format and it's annoying. It reads like an extremely long email.

Plot wise, everything was perfect. The world building. The descriptions. The writing. Amazing.

Loved our main love interests, the revelation of her powers, her strength, her character development. Can't wait for book 2.

Also, I need Achilles and his handler to chill. Like yesterday. The delusions are craaaaazy.

Enjoyable read. Loved the characters, amazing writing, plot was predictable but it's to be expected especially for a sports romance they're all the same. I lost interest in the book about 80% in but I finished it nonetheless.

And that smut likeeeeee. Cali is everything and more. The dirty talk!!!!!

First things first I hate the cover.

Second of all, it was very predictable and a little cringe at times but overall a cute little read I suppose. I had no high expectations going into it.
