I loved this books so much. I especially loved her going back to when Jeffrey first brought Sara to his hometown. You think it's just gunna be a quick day trip but of course they get themselves into solving a murder while there. I think the story played out so well. I liked how the past and present ended up connecting in the end. It definitely had me on the edge the whole time.

Spoliers. What the fuck?! While I still really enjoyed this book. So far this is my least favorite. This book centered a lot around Lena and my gosh she makes the worst decisions. I was so frustrated with throughout the entire book. Not one good decision was made. I wanted to punch her to be honest. This new character they introduced whose name is Ethan needs to go. He is Lena's stalker lover I guess. But oh my gosh this man is a walking red flag and this is not the direction I wanted Lena's character to go but we shall see what happens in the next 3 books with her. I feel like Lena needs to be focused on moving on and making better relationships with Jeffrey and frank again. And then also developing a better relationship with Nan and Sara. She does not need to be anywhere near Ethan. Ethan needs to change on his own.
Picking up the 4th one right away. I gotta see where this goes!

Spoilers included. 1st i loved seeing Sara, Jeffrey, and Lena back on the page. Love seeing their characters  develop throughout the book. Especially Lena trying to come back from what happened to her and try to find help. We got to see more of Hank and hers relationship, as he was trying to help her.
This is only book 2 in this 6 book series. How much more darker can things get? The book was bit more slower pace than book 1, but I still enjoyed it. I had to put in down a few times just because the topic was real freaking heavy in this one. The direction this book went was unexpected for me. As we started to find out the people who were involved my mouth was on the floor. I didn't see both mothers being the ones responsible for the sick stuff that was going on. I just felt so bad for those kids and like I said i had to put the book down a few times. I knew the pastor had something to do with it. I didn't trust him from the jump. I don't know what it is about Brad, but I just don't trust him. We will see how his character unfolds throughout the series. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE GOING INTO THIS BOOK!

THIS FREAKING BOOK WAS SOO DAMN GOOD!!! I guessed wrong a couple times, but finding out who did it my God, I was shocked. This book kept me hooked the entire way through. There wasn't a chapter I was bored reading. Karin writes the most disturbing, dark and detailed books I have ever read. I eat it up everytime! What is wrong with me? Lol. She knows how to write a damn thriller. I could picture everything in my head so clearly even at times where i wish i hadn't. I loved the characters and can't wait to see how they play out in the rest of the series. At the moment Sara and Jeffrey have my heart.  I'm mad I didn't pick this up sooner. I love how the first book in this series started so strong and my hopes are high for the rest. Read the trigger warnings for sure before going into any of her books.

I really did enjoy this book. I found myself getting all giddy while reading about their love story. When I was done with the book, I felt like I needed more drama for a rival to lover romance. I thought they fell for each other too quick imo. But all in all I did still really like it.
