After I reading this book, and the rest of the series, I could not stop thinking about it. I mean truly, it was just that epic. Rose Hathaway is one of my favorite female leads, for she is loyal and caring, yet still as stubborn and witty as ever. The romance with Dimitri Belikov, her mentor, was incredibly real, and never felt faked, forced, or unrealistic, which happens a lot. Lissa Dragomir, her best friend, seems to have a real heart of gold, but also a side of her that can be just as mean as Rose herself. But besides that, the plot was great and the story was humorous, besides all the many problems they face. And though the book could come off as this clichéd teen vampire novel, it really wasn't. Loved it, in every way and highly recommend it!
