Freaky sand tense brutal somber gloomy but also a little bit hopeful and nostalgic and a just a lot packed in here. It's a long read and I did feel myself getting a little bit winded at times.but honestly worth it. Much more than just horror fiction.

Liked it, but wasn't totally captivated by the main character (Lord Wimsey) and sidekick (Bunter) as I would have liked. Still a worthwhile read and really interesting insight into change ringing

Slow start, hard to get in to, and requires your full attention but a rewarding read! Somewhere in the last 200-150ish pages I found I was so engaged and didn't want to put it down!

Reread, but loved it all the same, especially after reading A Master of Djinn. The crossover of characters make me happy

Like it s lot!! It did feel a bit heavy on the info-dumping at times even pretty late through the story.i liked the characters a lot and there was some humor sprinkled in. All in all I think worth the read and looking forward to book 2.

I liked this more than Jurassic Park! Dan Brown has a very similar vibe with the page-turner, research-packed, action novel.

Read it before, watched the HBO series, then just finished reading this again. Loved it even more the second time I think. Takes these imperfect strings of humanity and shows them off for what they are full frontal and ties them together so elegantly. A masterpiece.

Honestly just wasn't for me even though I thought it would be from the synopsis. I thought it was way too wordy, dialogue was awkward, and the points of view were too impersonal to have impact. During a could moments the narrative and writing could have taken a big swing emotionally I just think it chose to bunt instead.

A good follow up to Lock In if you enjoyed that! These aren't lyrical, poetic, or profound storytelling BUT they are imaginative, entertaining, and full of humor at just the right moments!
