Very moved by her kindness, compassion, and forgiveness even for those who caused trauma in her past.

This book surprised and delighted me (if you can be delighted by assassins and except the premise that people who do really, really bad things deserve to die). Love seeing a group of older ladies still kicking ass and being awesome.

Enjoyable YA with interesting exploration of grief and friendship. Cute setting, having spent many years in Ren Fests.

Appreciate books that can show fluidity in sexuality in its characters, male vulnerability, and especially the depiction of anxiety.

I finally got onto the Colleen Hoover bandwagon. A surprisingly complex, emotional, and at times dark story of growth, trauma, and finding your path.

This book really surprised me. It was a totally random pick and I knew nothing about it when I started. I appreciated the twists, and it was relatively unexpected at times.

Really appreciated that both characters were going through so much of their own personal development and dealing with pretty big issues. Also appreciate that more and more romances are dealing with people finding their sexual/gender identity later in life and the presence of more conversations around men's mental health.
