I personally liked this book better than the first. The dynamic between the two main characters was great but the actual plot points happened all at the end and it felt like the ending scene came a bit out of no where. I did enjoy it, but be aware there are some graphic scenes that weren't for me at all. Be sure to read the content warning.

This book was a cute read. The ending felt a bit rushed to wrap things up and the plot went to the wayside but it was still a fun, easy read for fall.

I was so looking forward to this book and had high hopes. I, unfortunately, feel let down. I almost didn't finish this book due to the poor writing, lack of world building, and unusual pacing. I didn't feel connected to the characters and often found what they were doing to be inconsistent with their characters. Lore wasn't an enjoyable FMC. She made poor decisions and the fix for many things didn't make any sense. Overall, this book was disappointing. I so wanted it to be good, but it just wasn't.

Willow's mom is gone and along with it, the magic that has protect her from being detected by the Coven, a group of witches where he bloodline depends from, that has turned into something horrid. But when Willow is forced to come face-to-face to her birthright with a plan to return the Coven to it's former glory, mysterious deaths begin to occur. Willow turns to Gray, a demon Vessel who should be her enemy for help. On her journey to fulfill her life's mission, Willow discovers a dark secret that changes the future of her life and Coven forever.

Overall, this story had a loose plot and a lot of tension between the two enemies-to-lovers. The professor and student troupe isn't my favorite and given that it was a dark romance, there were many lack of consent moments.

This book contains 2 open-door spicy scenes, lots of magic and magical creatures, as well as a surprise twist at the end to set up book 2.

I do plan to read book 2, but it wasn't may favorite book given the writing style.

Nesta didn't ask for this. She didn't want to be fae. She didn't want her father to die. She didn't want to watch her sister live a happy life with her fae High Lord. After hitting her lowest of lows, Nesta is forced against her will to face the facts that she is fae and there is no going back.

The journey she goes on takes her through romance, friendship, and her dark past in order for her to find the ability to love herself again.

This book is filled with spicy romance scenes and is much more smutty than the previous 4 books. Nesta is often a character that people hate on, but I personally appreciated a realistic character that had to go through a difficult emotional journey. Her character development was well done and very impactful to me.

I will say that the plotline was murky throughout which makes me curious where exactly this story is headed in the future.

Hybern is at bay for now, but the war has changed everything. However, the holidays are here so the Night Court is trying to make the best of it, at least most of them.

This book is a multiple POV novella that is a nice palate cleanser after the emotional first 3 books in the series. It is also a nice, lighthearted transition from Feyre's story to the multiple POV book of ACOSF.

I smiled throughout this book despite there not being much plot, I really enjoyed this read. Also, Sarah J Maas still manages to sneak in a spicy scene between Feyre and Rhysand that has significant meaning for ACOSF.

This book gives warm, holiday vibes and will be one I re-read during the holiday season for years to come.

Feyre is in enemy territory. Her mission? To rip them apart from the inside out. Which isn't hard for her to do considering she hates Tamlin for his betrayal that led her sisters to become Fae. What a jerk!

Hybern is coming. The Night Court has stop them to save Prythian, but it may just come to war. Throughout the book we see betrayal, flashbacks to the past, and of course some spicy romance between Feyre and Rhysand.

The end of the book was shocking and had me flipping the pages as fast as possible so I could see how it ends. I absolutely loved this book and think it was an excellent follow up to ACOMAF.

Feyre isn't human, not anymore. She's fae now, and no longer Under the Mountain which means she can finally be happy with Tamlin, right? As Feyre grapples with newfound immortality she discovers she what she thought she wanted maybe isn't what she needs? After asking for help, she finds an unsuspecting fae male coming to her rescue and what she discovers from him changes her life forever.

ACOMAF is my favorite book out of the first 5 books in the ACOTAR series. The relationship building, character development, and spicy romance scenes are the best in the series.

While reading this the first and second time, I found myself smiling at the sweet moments and humor sprinkled throughout.  Similar to ACOTAR this books is made to be re-read since it is an entirely different experience when you re-read it.

Feyre has to feed her family so if killing a wolf that may or may not be fae is required she's going to do it. Turns out...it was fae and now she has to pay the price of the treaty for her crime of killing a fae which means she will have to live in their world forever with a fae male named Tamlin.

Feyre hates the fae, but what if she could learn to love them?

The first book in the ACOTAR series is my least favorite. It is designed to set up the rest of the series. While there is some romance (a couple of mild spicy scenes) this book is designed to prepare readers for the journey ahead in this story. One that is full of magic, romance, and war.

I enjoyed this book and with all the hype around the series, I kept reading longer than I may have otherwise and I am glad I did.

I also love that this book is designed to be re-read as what you discover in book 2 completely changes many of the scenes in the book once you have a different perspective.
