Did not finish book.
It was interesting, but I had this from the library and it's just very long and a bit slow. I think if I had longer with it and a physical book instead of an e-book I would eventually have finished it, but i renewed it several times before finally just letting it go back. I don't know that it was compelling enough for me to check it out again.

This was an incredibly fun, super quick read. A combo Western, alternative history adventure story plus heist.  Some things felt kind of predictable, but in a way I enjoyed. Plus there's a nonbinary love interest!

Very solid book for learning spindle spinning. It was recommended to me by the instructor of a beginning spinning class I took. It's a great introductory resource that breaks down both the history and science of spinning, and steps to spin your first yarns. I like the exercises for how to improve your yarns and spin faster or more efficiently. The photos illustrating the steps are large enough and clear enough to follow, and there are also some lovely pictures of different kinds of spindles to admire. Only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is it did leave me wanting some information as a total beginner, like how to continue if your yarn breaks while you're plying.
