Kasie West has done it again. I flew through this book. The dynamic between Finley & Theo is so fun & cute. The familial element with Finley and her grandmother story is so so sweet. If her podcast was real I’d 100% be listening to it. As for Finley’s friend group? Chef’s kiss. 🤌🏻 Talk about people who have your back & support you. They are a fun group of characters. Also, Kasie really knows how to write a villain because Jensen made my blood boil & he deserves all the bad karma. 😤 But seriously this book is amazing so add it to your tbr.

Perfect for any lover of The Office! This is a fun spin on a holiday classic written by none other than Kevin himself, Brian Baumgartner, & one of the executive producers of the show, Ben Silverman. It’s a great way to include the whole family in the love so many share for this series. There’s tons of references for The Office lovers to catch & the illustrations are so cute! I can’t wait to add the hardcover to my bookshelf.

Dinner for Vampires: Life on a Cult TV Show by Bethany Joy Lenz

All I can say is wow. This was nuts. I absolutely loved One Tree Hill & getting to read what Joy was going through the entire time she was on the show is just wild. It made sad to see the way this cult drove a wedge between her and literally anybody who wasn’t a part of it. All the opportunities she lost. Ultimately she got her beautiful daughter, but to know that someone you’ve watched on tv for years went through all of this is mind boggling. It really is true how people can be so dismissive about “how stupid you must be” to end up in a cult, but it’s a slow burn. Little by little they take more control & they exploit your weaknesses. It’s really empowering that she was willing to share all this with the world.

A perfect Christmas season romance. This was such a cute story. I love a Christmas tree farm and Dream Harbor is already so cute and Idealic that adding one to the mix is giving me major fomo. I need to live in this small town. Kira is new to Dream Harbor and though it takes her awhile to fit in, she’s a great addition to the growing list of characters. Then there’s Jeanie’s brother, Bennett, visiting from California with his 3 adorable pups. After a not great first impression Bennett and Kira eventually become friends he helps her start to fit in. But what happens when Kira starts to have feelings for this man she knows is only visiting for the holidays? *cue suspenseful music* You’ll have to read to find out.

Mistletoe Season: Three Christmas Stories by Kathleen Fuller, Pepper Basham, Sheila Roberts

Okay this is like 3 cozy hallmark movies all wrapped up in one book. The stories don’t overlap. They’re completely separate from each other. Of the three, I think Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts was my favorite. All three stories were great though. The first story, Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller, focuses on Emmy & Kieran. Kieran is back in his hometown for his mother’s birthday when he runs into his sister’s best friend, Emmy who happens to have had quite the crush on Kieran back in the day. The second story is The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham. Prince Arran comes to stay with his sister in North Carolina to try and get his life back on track after his bad behavior & meets Charlotte who could use the help of a prince for the Christmas fundraiser. The third story, Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts, is about Hailey’s bad luck with the men she meets under the mistletoe & she’s determined not to end up under it again with her childhood crush, Carwyn, when she returns home for the holidays.

This book means the world to me. Linkin Park was and is still my favorite band. When Chester passed I cried a lot. I still tear up listening to certain songs & I’m happy the band is back even though it is bittersweet. So when I saw an arc review of this book I jumped on NetGalley as fast as I could to see if it was still available. It was. I went on a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the journey this book takes you on. First it was happiness & excitement of seeing how the band formed. There was frustration & anger when reading about how the label wanted them to change their sound & especially when they proposed getting rid of Mike. I laughed out loud reading about how One Step Closer came to be. Naturally I cried & even had to pause reading to collect myself when we reach July 20, 2017. I have nothing but love for this book. I bought the audio & physical copy as well. This is a must read for any fan of Linkin Park. It’s just a beautiful thing.

Okay, I love the Graves Glen series & this book did not disappoint. The majority of it does not take place in Graves Glen, but the setting for this is amazing in its own right. Now even though we’re talking about witches, this book is set in winter and has lots of Christmas vibes to it. The time travel aspect was really fun & comedic. It was also bittersweet. It always tugs at my heart strings when you’re able to see the past & present versions of characters particularly when you see the past versions of characters that aren’t alive in the present day. I was really curious how the story would resolve itself & I was happy with how it turned out. Time travel can be hit or miss & I think this was a hit. I highly recommend. I love this series. I can’t get enough of it.

A Dark and Secret Magic by Wallis Kinney

This is like the ultimate cozy fall/halloween read that I’ve read/listened to so far. It felt very cottagecore and like it had the kind of vibe similar to Practical Magic. Most of the cozy fall reads I’ve read are romcoms & this is not that. It’s very world building & sets a very beautiful scene. While there is romance it doesn’t consume the entire plot. It was amazingly well done. I really enjoyed it & I would love to see more of this world again.
The narrator did a great job. She paced the story well & reflected the emotions of the characters the way they’re described. I’ve listened to other books narrated by her & I always enjoy her voice.

A Jingle Bell Mingle by Sierra Simone, Julie Murphy

It was bittersweet finishing A Jingle Bell Mingle. This is the last book in the series. There’s 2 novellas that take place between each book too. Y’all. I love a story that has to do with Christmas. I’d seen the first book on display everywhere & had no idea what the plot was. I just knew it was Christmassy. Boy, when I say my flabbers were gasted I mean it. This whole series is hilarious and raunchy. I loved all of it! The comedy had me in tears at times. I fell in love with these characters and I’m so sad to see all of their stories end. A Jingle Bell Mingle is the perfect end to the series. It gives readers the happy ending they want for these characters and not just the main characters.  Sunny is such a sweetheart and a total badass. Isaac is like Eeyore. He’s sad, but you love him. The deadpan attitude he has is gold for comedic timing. I’m a fan of dark humor and for how tragic his backstory is he definitely leans into it. Also there’s an entire page dedicated to the awesome that is Lord of the Rings. They really knew how to steal my heart.

This was such a cozy & cute magical book. It’s perfect for a sweet fall/halloween vibe. It’s full of different characters like witches, fairies, elves, & tons more. There’s some romance, but it’s not what the whole story is about. There’s lots of fun side characters and subplots happening. I really loved this book & I’m nostalgic for this fictional seaside town. The narrator did a fantastic job. I enjoyed the lilt in her voice when speaking as the character Archie. He’s a fun & sassy character you can’t help but love.
