I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson
5.0
I can't even form words because of this book. This book survives the hype around it, and it deserves even more hype. It was one of the most unique, artistic, and beautiful books that I have ever read.
I loved all the characters, and I relate to Noah immensely. I was so sympathetic toward him, and his situation. I could've easily read this whole book in his perspective. I actually didn't like Jude at first, but then she was amazing. I loved everyone!
I cried like a baby in this book, because this novel was as heartbreaking as it was beautiful. I absolutely loved this book. I would read a sequel in a heartbeat.
ONE LAST THING, I NEED MORE NOAH. I AM GOING THROUGH NOAH WITHDRAWALS. IT'S NOT HEALTHY HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS FICTIONAL CHARACTER, AND I NEED MORE OF HIM. OH NOAH, YOU TOOK MY HEART.

Mini Review!
I'm at a loss. I don't even know what to say. My thoughts aren't really coherent, but I thought I should do this review while I still remembered it.
This book was so amazing! Wayyyyyyy better than the first. Percy had me cry-laughing within 20 pages. Tyson was so adorable. Annabeth was absolutely fantastic. I ship Annabeth and Percy already, even though they are like thirteen in this book. I need it to happen, and I hope that it does happen. The plot twist was SO AMAZING! Then there was another one! I couldn't take it.
5 Stars, Extremely satisfying installment.

ACTUAL RATING: 2.5
I had to read this for school. I didn't really like it at first. However, near the end I really liked it, and the ending itself was great.

The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan
5.0
This is one of those series that each book is better than the previous one. As per usual, the writing was fantastic. The characters were better than ever. Percy, Tyson, Rachel, Annabeth, and Nico are my faves. The plot was very fast-paced; So fast paced, in fact, I read it in less than 6 hours. It’s all leading up to, what I hope to be, an epic finale. That’s basically it for this review! Five out of five stars to The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan.
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

This might be one of the best fantasy books I think I have ever read.
The characters were utterly fantastic. Arya Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, and Jon Snow were my favorites. The writing was stunning and addicting. Even though it took me nearly four weeks to read this, it was impossible to put down. The plot was genius, there were an insane amount of plot twists. It was just fantastic. All of the stars to this book.

Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh
5.0
I had actually never heard of this book until Kat from Katytastic said something about it in one of her videos. She said it was hilarious and that she loved it! (Cool story: I went to Books A Million the day after I watched her video that this was mentioned in, and I saw it. For about 5 dollars, in hardcover so it was destiny.) Typically, I trust Kat's reviews and Hyperbole and a Half was no exception.
I absolutely love this book. This was so freaking funny. I wanted to high five the author, Allie Brosh, all throughout this book. At one point I was reading this at 1 A.M., and I was trying super hard not to burst into laughter as to not wake my parents, and I felt this massive laughter about to erupt. So, I tried to smother it and failed. I don't even know how to describe the sound I made. It was like the beautiful sound of a bird cawing and cat dying. Beautiful image. Now back to the book.
I really enjoyed this, and if you need a book to make you laugh, Hyperbole and a Half is most definitely for you.
P.S. I quite love Kat. Along with Christine, Sasha, Regan, Raeleen, Jesse, Ben, Tasha, and Katie. They are my spirit animals.
P.S.S. In the very unlikely case that any of the people above are reading this, please don't file a restraining order. Because I quite love and enjoy all of your videos.
P.S.S.S. Last P.S. I swear. Booktube is life.

Dreams of Gods & Monsters by Laini Taylor
5.0
I don't even know where to begin. Dreams of Gods and Monsters was executed flawlessly. This book was one of the best, if not the best conclusion to a series I've ever read.
Laini Taylor is an absolute mastermind when it comes to to writing a series. Speaking of which, her writing, God, her writing: breathtaking. She is an expert at world-building, loveable characters, haunting and smoky writing, action, romance, and giving you ALL of the feels. I could make this whole review about the feels, but spoilers would occur.
If you have not read this series, please drop everything and read it. If you want an epic fantasy with The Mortal Instruments or Throne of Glass vibes, pick this series up. You won't regret it.

Wow. What a stunning sequel to Daughter of Smoke & Bone.
This book was gorgeous. It was somehow better than the first one, which seems impossible, because the first one was absoultely breathtaking.
As with the first one, they both opened and ended flawessly. In the first one it opens with Karou, and the second one opened with Zuzana. I absoultely love Zuzana.
Similar to the first one, they changed point of views often. This book was extremly fast paced, and had me hooked from page one. Also, the world-building in this was incredible. Absolutely incredible. I can't even fathom how incredible it was.
This book was gorgeously written, extremely fast paced (which a book that is 500+ pages needs to be), action packed, ridden with the chances of love, and confusing in a good way. To put it short, this was epic.

Never Never by Tarryn Fisher, Colleen Hoover
“How odd to be made of flesh, balanced on bone, and filled with a soul you’ve never met.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, here we are again with another negative review.
I'll start with the things I liked: the premise; very intriguing, Landon; he's a good brother, the setting; I love New Orleans and I live in Louisiana, the page count; it's 150 pages and a very quick read, the cover; it's very nice, the ending; the only reason I'll read the next book. I'm pretty sure that wraps the good things up!
So, this book was very disappointing. I had HIGH hopes for a book that is semi-written by Colleen Hoover; I LOVED Ugly Love and enjoyed Maybe Someday. I've never read a Tarryn Fisher novel, but I doubt I will after reading Never Never.
Let's dive into the things I disliked, shall we?
1) The Characters
Charlie is an annoying girl, to say the least; Silas has far more personality than Charlie. However, they both have the collective personality of a brick wall. I felt ZERO attachment to the characters. Charlie's personality goes to the extent of telling Silas, "Silas, I just saw my first penis!"
Wow, Charlie!! Do you want a medal?
Dumbass.
2) The Plot
It has a really nice premise, but it's not executed well.
3) The Setting
This book is set in New Orleans, and I absolutely adore New Orleans. However, both of them should have probably done some research on New Orleans.
- NEW ORLEANS DOESN'T HAVE MARDI GRAS ALL YEAR ROUND, YOU IDIOTS!!
-Have you ever heard of Marie Laveau? She's basically the queen of Voodoo, she got popularized on American Horror Story? Here's a picture of Angela Bassett, who plays Marie Laveau on AHS: Coven:
However, Marie Laveau isn't fictional. Fun fact: New Orleans has these two MASSIVE cemeteries, and you can go to Marie Laveau's tomb, write a wish, and if she grants it, you put an x on her tombstone. Here's a picture:
I say all of this to say, there's a certain scene with Charlie where she's talking about this lady in a room full of bones and bodies sitting on a throne made of glass, and I'm literally sitting there SCREAMING at the book that it's Marie Laveau. Because that scene is a part of New Orleans culture and legend, where Marie Laveau is sitting on a glass throne.
Fun Fact #2: Not related to the book, but you pronounce New Orleans like New-Or-Lens. Think of it as like a contact lens: New Or-lens. Thanks so much, glad to settle this!
4) The Writing
LOADS of grammatical errors, and the sentence structure felt awkward and cumbersome at times. I know I probably shouldn't be pointing out grammar errors, but I mean come on. God, it's like they weren't even trying with grammar.
The writing would change fonts, and it was starting to annoy me.
5) Miscellaneous
On page 40, They insulted Charli XCX.
Never Never: Part Two by Tarryn Fisher, Colleen Hoover
“Never forget that I was your first real kiss. Never forget that you’ll be my last.
And never stop loving me between all of them.
Never stop, Charlie.
Never forget."
Note: This review is going to be far shorter than all of my other reviews.
Well, this book is far better than the first installment! I feel like an idiot for just realizing that this is a novel divided into three parts.
1) The Characters
I really liked Silas in this one! I think that one of the reasons I enjoyed this installment more was because Charlie didn't narrate that much, and whenever she did narrate I was actually interested! I love Landon.
2) The Plot
I can't really talk about the premise of this one without spoiling the first installment, but it obviously picks up where the first one ended. This one flows better and has a more mysterious aspect.
3) The Writing
The writing was better! Still TONS of grammatical errors, which still disappoints me.
4) Miscellaneous
I'm liking the pop culture references! The first one had a Kardashians reference.
The second one had a Twilight reference.
My hopes for the third are a Beyoncé reference.
I LOVE Beyoncé. Even if you don't like her, you've got admit that she's hot as hell.
I liked this one, and I hope that the next one has a Beyoncé reference.
