Jenika can do no wrong in my book. I loved the retelling of Hades and Persephone. This is the first retelling/reimagining of their story where i didn’t hate Persephone. She’s always written as immature and bratty and Jenika did not paint her that way. I loved it. It’s spicy, forbidden, excellent dirty talk, and a great read. Highly recommend.

Comedy??

I’m not sure if this was supposed to be a mafia comedy, but that’s what I got from it. Laz was obnoxious and borderline immature. The story was good but to me he was more of a step brother than father. It was good, funny, and plenty spicy.

Let me start by saying I loved the writing. I could feel the emotion between the characters and how much it hurt them to be separated. That being said I was disappointed with the lack of groveling and trying to win her back, ESPECIALLY knowing what he did to make her leave in the first place. Once I learned what he did I was expecting more from him. He didn’t do enough and when she ran back to him, it definitely was a wtf moment.
