I've been a fan of Lore since I discovered it on Webtoons. And while I am up to date with the releases, you best believe I will buy every last one of these bound volumes. The art is visually satisfying and changes over time. I know there is some hate with this story but in all honesty, I love it. Though I will need to note there are triggers for emotional abuse, sexual assault, child abuse, and probably a few others that I didn't register. So please read at your own discretion.
It reads like a history textbook and my brain can't really handle that. I'll keep picking it up and reading for a bit but I'm not gonna keep tracking my progress. I think I've had it on my current reading list for a few years now.
The only reason I'm giving this volume 4 stars instead of 5 is because of Yukio. At this point, I am actively wishing for his death. How can he expect his brother to understand him when the only thing he's done is keep to himself. He knows that Ren isn't the brightest bulb in the bunch and it will take him a while to fully understand so why won't he stop acting like Ren is being willfully ignorant? God, I hope they resolve this in the next volume because I'm getting tired of it.
This volume had some of my favorite episodes! But even though I've watched the show a million times there are things that never made it to the anime. These things are adding new depth to my favorite characters.
