“I may have lost my heart, but not my self-control.”

Emma Woodhouse is certain that she's a good matchmaker. She tries to put her friend, Harriet, and Mr. Elton together in one basket, but her plan falters due to a grave misunderstanding--(view spoiler)

She, in the meantime, had persuaded Harriet into rejecting her love interest, Robert. Harriet, refusing to go back to Robert, ends up falling in love w/ Emma's (new) love interest, Mr. Knightley.

(view spoiler) she must find a way out for both her and her friend's HEA. But how exactly?

P.S. Emma is so likeable, cunning, and drop-dead gorgeous! She was totally convinced that she wasn't going to marry, but her plan in the end didn't work out :/
Plus, Emma's plan during the climax was questionable--like, wth did you just do to your frnd, Emma? :V

My seventeen years have collapsed and buried me from the inside out. My legs feel full of sand and stapled together, my mind overflowing with grains of indecision, choices unmade and impatient as time runs out of my body.

"If you do not understand your opponent—or worse, if you underestimate your opponent—you are going to lose.”

🤌🤌🤌

Can we talk abt how Adam is SO damn smart? (view spoiler)

Is it just me or did others face the fear of Warner taking a liking to someone else other than Juliette-e.g. Alia-too? 🤭

Also, the dynamic between Kenji and almost everyone is just- 🤌

Kenji clears his throat. “J, I think you should switch spots with me.”
“Why?”
“I think your boyfriend is touching my leg.”
“You flatter yourself,” Warner says.
“Switch spots with me, J. He’s making me feel all goosebumpy and shit, like maybe he’s about to knife me.”

P.S. This is probably THE BEST book in this series! ✨

“If you don't know how to control yourself, your courage becomes recklessness.”

Join MC, Sung Jinwoo, who goes from Zero💩 to Hero💯!

Jinwoo is popularly known as the world's weakest (monster) hunter. His motive to continue as one, despite the critics he faces due to his weakness, is to provide for his sick momma and his lil sis, a highschooler.

He's accompanied by Lee Ju-Hee, a B-rank healer, into accomplishing a mission in a dungeon (view spoiler). He's later given a second chance at life.

His goal, afterwards, is to become stronger.

P.S. There's a teeny-tiny bit of romance happening between Jinwoo and Lee Ju-Hee.
The weakest hunter needs the most healing, y'know? ;)
Lee Ju-Hee asks Jinwoo to go out to eat with her, and he accepts the request.

“Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor.”

Simply one of the best series I've ever read in my life.
