King is such an amazing storyteller and he proves it again in this short scope.

I felt a kind of sadness and nostalgia for a childhood that's not mine, that doesn’t align with mine in any way, but he wrote something universal...that's 'growing up'.

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It gave me an different perspective on people, their interactions with others and intelligence, retardation.

It was extremely sad at parts. I could feel why a character is doing what he's doing. But it was not justified. I felt bad for Charlie, Norma, Rose and Gordon so very tremendously. And for Algernon.

Algernon was a strong symbol of intelligence and control. Freedom of action and others. It was a very thought provoking book.

Continuing with the wheel of time after a long long time. It was a good change. Rand has tremendous growth. So does Egwene.
Mat, Nynaeve and Elayne is doing things as well. The plot is getting more and more twisted. It's quite hard to keep track of them.
Forsakens are showing up more often than before. Aiels have crossed the waste and are being warriors for Rand. White tower is soo divided.
Some important characters died. And I have a feeling they'll come back. You see...this is the problem. When the stakes are not as high with death, you don’t feel the gut punch things.
I'd say the page count is far greater than contents. So..yeah. It's hard when you don’t love all the characters. Harder to spend time with them without much happening. There were other big old battles too. Just like all the other wot book endings. Anyways...despite all these and some women's constant bickering and some unrealistic love stories and all, it was good. Things happened. I loved some characters more than before. And things are happening. Even though they're slow.
It's good.
