Bit slow and the twists ended up being disappointing to me :-( I did love the bookish references though

Whimsical and romantic, I was drawn to the book due to its countless references to classic literature, namely in Austen's Pride and Prejudice. While the dream guy is more of a Bingley than a Darcy, it makes this story rather endearing and sweet. The female protagonist, Darcy is a dreamer and a wanderer whose perspectives of reality and fiction are always blurred. Preferring to curl up in a book rather than meet people, she is a character I can relate to, and I was impressed with the way she faced the reality head on. It is not easy to admit your flaws, but Darcy took it on without grudges, making her seem like a typical, sweet girl, but with courage and big dreams nonetheless. It may not be a favourite book for me, but it is still enjoyable as we go on Darcy's journey through Manhattan, fixing pieces of the puzzle. A good read :)

I found myself incredibly immersed in Darcy's search for Aidan's identity, and as such thoroughly enjoyed the story all the way to the end.
I noticed a couple of issues with grammar and the like, but nothing incredibly noticeable or prominent, so it didn't affect the overall flow.
Something I noted that I thought was really well done was that certain things near the end of the book tied the plot back to the beginning, which rounded off the story neatly, and this made the ending feel more final and complete.
Generally a really sweet, realistic, suspenseful book, worth the read!

I really liked this book! It was a perfect Christmas/winter read.

All for a cheesy happy ending to a chick-lit but sad to say, author tried too hard to fit in a happy ending here when it would've been better to leave it as anything but.

This book was impressively bad. Everything was over explained (she said about 50 billion things related to how much she liked books), so many grammar mistakes, and it was set in New York and written from a New Yorker's perspective but the author seemed to be British because of certain ways of spelling and phrases. Not that people can't write about a culture not their own, but in this case it caused disconnect. To top it off, I thought it had a very corny storyline! Perhaps chic lit is just not my thing, but I would not recommend it. I only finished it because I was reading for a book club and it wasn't that long.
