If fast, sweet Instalove with a very HEA is your cup of tea, this book will bring it to you.

I’m starting to become addicted to Audible Escape. These are totally quick listens. This story was slightly far-fetched and yet predictable.

I really enjoyed the first 2/3rds of the is book. The writing was good and I enjoyed the plot. I really liked Lucio and how much he cared for Delilah- and especially Lulu. The last 1/3 or so, though, was harder for me to really enjoy. There was little drama and things moved very quickly; the pacing just seemed off for me. I'm glad that I read it- because I did really like the family- and I will certainly consider other books by Chelle Bliss, and will probably continue this series. So while not a complete miss, Maneuver was just okay to me.

Can I have a Lucio in my life please?

Lucio is protective and a dilf in the making. He steps up without even realising it to help Delilah with the situation she's found herself in all of a sound. Abound by her alcoholic father outside a bar with a baby as a single mum. Delilah doesn't have the massive walls up like other heroines |I've read in insta-love situations to help create the massive drama moment.

Insta-love is not one of my preferred tropes and that's what I fully expected with such a quick read but Chelle wrote Maneuvre really well and it wasn't too cringe at all.

All reviews posted at Tales of Love, Life, and Murder

This is a sweet romance between Delilah and Lucio but I wish there was more to their story. Delilah has a really tough life despite coming from a wealthy family so it would be nice to have more background into her family life. Her father’s drinking is the catalyst for everything that happens but we never get any insight into these characters or any glimpse of her life before the story begins. This is insta-love without any build-up but it’s still a nice story with likeable characters. The rest is pretty predictable but it’s not terrible and I did finish it.

Great start to Gallos' extended family saga

I adore this author's work, but there is just some special bond with the Gallos. It's where it all began, and this book totally does the family justice. Can't wait for more!!!

One of my favorite rereads

I probably reread this book monthly. It’s sooo good. A damsel in distress with an infant, a tattooed hottie with a heart of gold, a supporting cast of amazing family members…. What’s not to love!? Not only are the main characters ::fire:: but I love that the storyline is real. There is no fake, forced, or contrived drama. No unmentioned ex shows up to stir the pot, no one reveals any dark secret to split them up for a few chapters. This is not a story that follows the generic story outline of : boy and girl meet, fall in love, big misunderstanding or drama so they split up, then get back together. Yet it doesn’t feel like it’s lacking in any way. It feels real, and authentic, and you can believe the relationships as developing organically.

Delilah and Lucio grew up in worlds that were as far apart as could be. Delilah grew up with all the money, but no unconditional family emotional connections or love. Her raging alcoholic father literally dumps her on a Chicago street in the middle of the night holding only her infant daughter. No phone, no money, nowhere to go. Lucio has an amazing family, and an extensive community that has always supported him, even if he didn’t grow up in the cultured wealth Delilah did. His family is amazing. From the first moment his mother met Delilah, she told Lucio they were meant to be together and not to mess it up. She was right! The story is the progression of their relationship, and Delilah becoming who she wants to be. It’s a beautiful, and steamy, story. The rest of the series is great too, but this one is my favorite.
