This was a book with a different twist on the Russian bratva and damaged military souls.
Ry and wren were suffering in their own but together they managed to save themselves and fulfil her brothers request to save his friends. Along the way a rescue mission turns in to chaos and when soon finds out how her brother dealt with the anxiety and panic that became their lives. As ry battled his past and present he found his future and would die before giving her up. A great read makes me want to read the previous books in the series to learn about the other characters in this story.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

On His Six by Patricia D. Eddy is a dark and gritty story. The story is gut-wrenching and intense right from the start and doesn't stop. On His Six is a book you won't be able to put down once you start.

Ryker's life hasn't been the same since he barely returned home from being a prisoner of war. He is greatly damaged both on the surface and inside. He feels he is undeserving of friendship and love. Wren is a brilliant hacker who lives off coffee suffers from anxiety attacks that seem to control her life. When he literally runs into Wren, he decides to help her when no one else will. Her mission to fulfill her brother's last wish includes the Russian mob so things get dangerous real quick.

Ryker and Wren's story is intense, nerve wrecking, raw and beautiful. They are both broken souls who give each other hope and peace from their demons. They steady each other and understand each other like no one else ever has.

This is my first Patricia D. Eddy book and it will not be my last. I kind of want to go back and read the other two books of hers set in this world and I'll be keeping an eye out for the next one.

"This girl -woman- does something to me I don't like. I can't get enough of her. She's innocent, but not. Sweet, but not. All contradictions and mysteries I'd love to solve. "

"I could kiss this man every day for the next month and it wouldn't be enough. I shouldn't need him. Shouldn't want him. There's a darkness inside him i fear will consume him one day. But I can't help myself. He's broken in all the wrong ways . Perfect in all the right ones. "

Patricia D. Eddy has become one of those author that I just can't wait to see what she will come up next. Being the third book in the Away from the Keyboard series I got a pretty good idea of what was in store for me. I was not disappointed.

Here we have a romance full of action, bad guys vs good guys, and don't forget the mystery and suspense that goes along with all of that. There's no way this story could be a slow paced one, and it's not, so be ready because you will enjoy a wild ride.

Ryker and Wren are a fantastic couple just because they have so many things that make them different, and on top of that they complement each other in ways that are, at times, incredible. I love them for their strengths but mostly because of their weaknesses, since that made them human and relatable in my eyes.

The plot of the story revolves around a mystery murder turned rescue mission. The flow of the book was great, no problem what so ever even with the fast-paced that a suspense novel needs to keep the reader at the edge of their sit.

Like I mentioned before, the book is the third in a series. It can be read as a standalone but the worldbuilding was done in a great way.

I would recommend this book if you like suspense romances and some sexiness mixed with it *wink*

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book provided by Hidden Gems.

Ryker spent months in Hell literally. He is scared and mentally damaged. He pulls away from everyone and faces his demons on a daily basis. The only person who knows what Ryker is going through is Dax and that is because he was in Hell with him. Ryker decides to try to make some amends with Dax on what Ryker thinks he did wrong. Ryker runs into Wren 2 times that day and he ends up getting pulled into something he never imagined.
Wren is a hacker, a very good hacker, she is struggling because she can't find her brother. Wren works for Dax and Dax is blowing her off.

I liked the book but I struggled with how dumb Wren was and the stupid decisions she makes. Ryker is a great character but he also just goes from major PTSD to nothing. The connections were too quick and not very well shown. The book was good though and I will read more by this author.

Received this book as an ARC for my honest review.

This awesome book is third in the Away From Keyboard series and it features Ryker and Wren. What an adventure! These two wounded souls broke my heart. The strong relationship Wren has with her brother was built on pain and heartbreak. When all you have is each other and betrayal by the ONE SINGLE PERSON that should never betray you happens, the bond is unbreakable. If I had to choose two words that give this entire story meaning, it would be ā€œI PROMISE.ā€ Powerful words!

Read this heartbreaking story about a man who survived Hell to eventually find Heaven. This is a very emotional story with absolutely amazing characters. I started reading out of order and I must go back and read books one and two! Iā€™m hooked!

This hero had some bad PTSD. He was able to hold a job but not his friends. The story gives you some insight into that and I'm glad I saw it so that I could understand where he was coming from.

The heroine of the story was pretty awesome in that she stayed strong, even when she was down and crying - as strange as that sounds. She had to deal with a lot in a short amount of time and I liked how she overcame her own demons.

The romance was slow and steamy because the hero was reluctant to think he was attractive enough to get someone like the heroine. What I liked most was how she quickly put out the fires of his insecurity - even though her own mind was hitting her pretty hard with all kinds of anxiety.

Great story.
