While not the most ground breaking book on coping skills and mental health, I think it’s good for people just getting into this kind of work but also those who are currently stuck in a really bad place. The latter being me, while I knew most of these skills and theoretical underpinnings I’ve been in such a low place that just hearing the basics again (in such a friendly but honest way) helped me feel some hope and gave me a gentle kick up the behind to start doing more for myself.

Not me thinking this book will fix me.
Pretty basic helpful advice that I mostly knew. I didn't realise creating stuff is a copying mechanism but it does make sense.
It's all good and common sense advide but remembering and wanting to use it while in distress is another issue.

Some good advice however there is a lot of cursing. I almost feels like a teenager that just learned how to curse and took very much away from the experience in my opinion. I can see this book being lovely for some people, I am personally just not one of those people.

I need to buy a physical copy for my office. This book is filled with great tips and tricks for dealing with anxiety and depression and other things that hijack your life.
