Firstly, how has this book been out since 2017, and I knew nothing about it???? I found out about cause how’s it’s been hyping up on TikTok recently and I thought it was pretty recent, apparently not. But omg it was just so good!!

I don’t particularly enjoy second chance romances, because of the whole back and forth scene, but I’m lately finding myself reading them a lot. This one was just done so well! I could clearly see the love Jonathan and Kennedy had for each other from the first page. They were soul mates, they lost their way but found each other at the end and that’s all that matters.

I particularly loved the scenes when they had to figure out their life themselves and start anew. It showed how much Jonathan loved Kennedy and would do anything for her. This book made me cry a couple times because of how they were clearly in love but still were struggling due to an addiction. It’s just so sad seeing them go through it. But Maddison was a great addition to the story. I loved how Jonathan took on the father role and did everything to had that bond with Maddie.

Loved the book. Books like this makes me love reading more. Pick this one up if you wanna feel all the feels.

Ghosted is a standalone book. I have only read one book from this author before.

I'm sad I didn't like this book more. It was suggested to me when I asked recs for 12 books by 12 friends challenge. I really liked the idea of reading it because I loved Loren Hale in Addicted series and I thought I'd like Jonathan at least half as much.

This was not a bad book by all means but I rate book by enjoyment and I couldn't forgive the hero. He was great after coming back to their lives and when he stopped drinking and doing drugs. But to me it didn't change the fact that he chose his vices and fame over them and slept with other women after their break up while she never slept with other men. I didn't like how it felt like he made bunch of mistakes in their past while she was only trying to be supportive girlfriend.

In the present time I enjoyed seeing Jonathan and Kennedy together but the fact that I felt like he didn't deserve her affected my enjoyment. I think my favorite part of this book had to be Jonathan's relationship with their daughter.

The parts focused on past were so confusing to me as they were written in the second point of view but it was interesting to see their past too and why she was so in love with him even after all this time.

All in all while I never could forgive the hero I think it was good second chance book and it showed how much alcohol and drugs can change a person. It just wasn't for me.

Could Not Put It Down!

Breezeo-Johnny- Johnathon whatever you call him, doesn’t matter bc you will love him all the same! He’s destroyed, defeated emotionally-physically-mentally, yet he pushes to find himself, pursue his happiness so he can truly live the life he deserves. A life with his heart, his queen and his daughter who loves him irregardless of his absence, his faults and embraces him for being present in this moment.
This story hit every emotional nerve ending I had, it was exhausting and exhilarating and I couldn’t stop turning pages. Kudos!!!!

This book‘s biggest flaw is that the cover is kind of hideous. I‘m kidding. No but seriously, if this wasn‘t second chance I would have never picked it up. But I‘m glad I did because I just love this type of romance, you know, the type where your heart tends to hurt really badly while you read it :)
