It is a crime how long it took me to read this glorious, funny, charming, delightful, tender, silly love story. Do not make the same mistake. If you have any interest in astrology you’ll love it all the more. It must be made into a film.

Hi my name is Emma and I’m TRASH FOR THIS BOOK. I seriously loved everything about it from the astrological premise to the mini stories about random people we hear along the way. I read an ARC version (though the book has been out since May 2019) so I would love to see if the final copy came with a little star sign cheat sheet in the back, maybe just a bit about each sign and maybe sign compatibility. I’m not a super hardcore believer or anything, but I thought this book did a really fun job of both respecting the star signs and making fun of them.

There is so much more to the stories of the characters of the book! The interactions between them kept being shallow and i wanted to know more about them, their deepest feelings. The later in the book, the more often changes the perspective of whom the plot is told:  this would have been a perfect opportunity to show each characters deep thoughts and feelings. Instead they remained shallow and repetitive.

This book really appealed to me because it seemed like a very unique idea for a romance novel. I enjoyed the astrology aspect because it is such a great reminder that we are all interconnected. I find the idea of how small choices we make can have huge consequences, both positive and negative, for other people to be completely fascinating and I loved the parts of this book that focused on that.

Some of this book got a little wacky and went off on little spurts which were distracting for me as a reader but overall it was a cute and quick read. A big thank you to NetGalley and Crown Books for a copy of this book.

The story has an interesting plot structure, with a central relationship/romance plot surrounded by a number of vignettes that weave in and out and are affected by the central story. Took a little time to get into but I ended up really liking it.
