This book was such a surprise in that I had no idea another book was coming out of this series and how much I loved Wren and Jesse. They were so iconic and what was fun about this book was that there was an obvious romance ,but their issues weren't the focal point of this story, the town antics were. The Divorce proceedings went crazy and the ending had me gagged. These two were the epitome of delulu in how they thought the other thought about them ( if that makes sense LMFAOOO). Once they got out of the collective deluluness they were iconic. I hope we get Lucy jucy's book because there is a new carpenter in town and she is now the girlies bestie soooooo Lauren you know what needs to be done.

This was a fun book that felt a little less like a romance than a story about saving the town of Cold Springs from Jed Ford, again. Because of the focus on the divorce, it gave the plot a unique spin on the friends with benefits trope.
I loved Wren and Jesse. They were both so hung up on each other and their miscommunication led them to doubt they were enough for each other. I loved that both these successful, confident people could be so conflicted about their value. Wren was the city attorney and had made a name for herself in a male dominated career, but she was under the impression that she was “too much”. While Jesse, who grew up in a blue collar family and worked a blue collar job, felt like he wasn’t enough. I loved the juxtaposed of that. And I loved their continued support for each other.
There was plenty of humor in this book, I thought the first book had a little more humor, but this was still a great romcom. It was sweet and funny with a good sense of small town camaraderie. I loved how Jesse and Wren loved each other and how after they resolved the miscommunication they accepted each other and never doubted their feelings. Despite the miscommunication, they communicated very well after they finally got together.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good escape. It kept me interested and was one of those books that just makes you feel good. I loved the ending and thought it was well thought out. Jed finally got what was coming to him and I loved the way the take down came about!

Every-once in a while I love a man obsessed book and this is definitely one of those books. Jesse is obsessed with Wren from the start of this story, and I love how much he doesn’t hide it, even if Wren can’t see it.
Wren wants to fall for Jesse but doesn’t believe his feelings, but I also love how all that was cleared up. The lawsuit in the middle of this book is so fun and adds so much to the story to where everything felt perfectly paced!

This book was interesting. It felt like the romance part was done at about 50% but we still had half the book to go. I don't think the rest of the plot was interesting enough to put the romance on the back-burner. I would have liked this more if it was actually focused on Jesse and Wren.
I received an arc through netgalley.
