As always the admiral has penned another inspiring book! This one will be going in a graduation gift with “Make Your Bed” - it’s a short book so if you own and haven’t read or can listen to it on overdrive I’d recommend! They are both most certainly worth the read!

A short inspiring book aimed at a wide range of audience, without losing depth. (This is probably more for people 22 and under TBH or someone with no prior military knowledge)
I have read books by former military guys like Jim Mattis and Jocko Willink. Admiral McRaven's The Hero Code is definitely one I'd recommend for all people. This book does a great job of creating a sense of unity for humanity, something I do see a bit lacking from most former military people. Each section is well written and inspiring. It does not shy away from hard subjects.
The US is lucky to have a guy like McRaven. I hope he inspires the next generation.

I listened to this book read by the author. I loved it. Great little short stories. Very moving. Everyone should read it.

Overall a good book. Nothing surprising here, but it was good to read. I wish Admiral McRaven had spent more time on the stories that represented the values he represented.
