I read this book when I was 15. It was the start of my spiritual journey through books. So many great ideas that I still use 15 years later.

This is a good book for anyone who has never read anything in the self help genre before, but as a person who has delved into this genre many times, I wasn't entirely impressed. I highlighted very few sections in the book to refer back to them, and that is very unlike me. This book is good if your biggest irritants are 5pm traffic or your kids bothering you while you try to work, but it doesn't go any deeper. If you are like me, and deal with heavy life altering situations, I recommend picking up 'Taking the Leap' by Pema Chodron or 'The Power of now' by Eckhart Tolle. Overall this book is easy to understand, and a good beginner read for someone whose never been introduced to spirituality or mental self help.

This book had some ok tips in it, but honestly the main points could have been boiled down to a simple check list, blog post, or a tweet or two.

I try to go through this book 2x a year, and it always seems to catch me in a new way. It’s never a wrong time to stop sweating the small stuff.Â

3 stars... This book seemed like just a laundry list of every piece of mental health advice over the last 20 years and each one was presented as equally important... So nothing stood out. It was largely based on the author's own reading and experiences, so the storytelling variety was limited. A few of the tactics gave me pause, but overall not strong enough to remember.
