Another stunner

I'm not sure how Mrs. Wolf manages it, but she takes a character you want to dislike and turns them into something amazing.

Take Rhys for example. He started out as Beckett's pompous and obnoxious friend. He was clueless when it came to Delilah, and it was somewhat validating to watch him being brought down a peg or two.
But by the end of the book, I absolutely adored the way he cared for his family. I adored how he nurtured the good in his life.

Was he perfect? No.
However, that is what I really connect with and why I enjoy Julia's books. She manages to show the vulnerable and 'real' parts of her characters, who then worm their way into your heart.

Delilah and Rhys's story was steamy, funny, and not so nice in parts, and I also loved how she portrayed Evelyn.

Having a child who is neurodivergent myself, I appreciate when autism is represented in books. And the fact that Evelyn is just as brash and sensitive to sounds and textures as my girl is? Her character was perfectly written.

I can't get enough of these SA guys and am very much looking forward to the next book.

These Two Wrongs is the second book in the Savage Academy series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Rhys and Delilah do not like each other when they first meet. Okay, they actually met before (in the first book), but I’m going with their first interaction in this book. Rhys sees Delilah in a vulnerable moment, and he just can’t help himself from commenting. Of course, Delilah isn’t just going to take his a**hole attitude, so she kind of tells him off.

Anyway, they don’t particularly like each other. Delilah doesn’t like Rhys because he’s not very nice, and he doesn’t even know her name. He is constantly calling her different names that start with “D”, and it’s truly because he doesn’t remember her name. Rhys, for his part, isn’t really an a**hole. He’s just uncaring and pretty closed off and doesn’t share much about himself with anyone, not even his friends.

I thought I wouldn’t like Rhys, but man was I wrong. He wasn’t uncaring, he just didn’t really know how to show his emotions. He was also a little insecure – and how often do we see male characters showing their insecurity? It was cute that he had a “geeky” side. And he never lied. He was a little blunt (in the beginning), but he always said what he thought.

When Rhys fell for Delilah, everything changed. He was more open and vulnerable. He let her see all the parts of him, even the damaged parts (because of his POS “parents”). I felt so bad for everything Rhys had gone through and still had to go through. Really, he had the biggest heart, and he was actually so sweet. He was caring, because he also looked out for Delilah’s sister. And he was also extremely protective.

Delilah was strong, and I loved how she always looked out for her sister. She refused to let anyone hurt her or take advantage of her, and she always comforted her when she needed it. But she also had insecurities. And my heart broke when she started expressing how much she hated parts of herself, and that Rhys’s actions only proved why she should hate them. She really made Rhys grovel for forgiveness.

The grovel from Rhys was perfect. He knew how badly he hurt her (unintentionally), and he pulled out all the stops to get her to give him a third chance. She refused and refused, but he did not give up. He stood up for her, had others stand up for her, looked out for her, and never gave up on her. Rhys even publicly announced things about himself, which was HUGE because he hated anyone knowing certain things about him, all to get attention off Delilah. He really was an amazing guy.

This book had the perfect amount of angst. It’s high school, and Julia definitely captured that high school angst. I loved the banter between Rhys and Delilah. They were similar and truly understood each other. There was a lot of heartache, but a lot of healing as well. This was another great book by Julia Wolf, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

This was just another fantastic read from Julia Wolf. I absolutely adored Beckett and he will always hold a special place for me, so I didn’t expect to love Rhys as much as I did.

Rhys and Delilah had this chemistry, spice and oh my lanta the banter was great. It really took a lot for them to get together and at times my heart just hurt. They had me laughing, crying and by the end just happy. Seeing how Rhys is treated by his own family made me both mad and sad, it’s why he seems to be this emotionless person when he really isn’t. He feels he has to put on a front.

I absolutely adored this story, and after everything they went through in their lives just happy they got their HEA.

This is my first book from Julia Wolf, and I definitely think I will be reading more from her in the future.

Rhys and Delilah had adorable chemistry from the start, and the banter fueled it even more. They bounced off each other so well even when they weren't really saying anything to each other. While the school trip started their relationship, I felt it didn't match up with the rest of the book. It felt as if I was reading about two completely different characters. I liked the point of the school trip but didn't think it was written properly. I enjoyed watching Rhys and Delilah learn about each other in such an understanding and loving way that there was no judgment between them. Rhys truly loved Delilah before he even realized it, and Delilah didn't think she could be loved as much as Rhys loved her and he showed she is perfect for him despite what she thinks.

However, I wished some things were talked about more, especially about the relationship between Roman and Delilah. I felt as if it was mentioned once and then never brought up again. Especially when what happened between them was similar to what Charles was doing to other girls and Delilah was disgusted by that yet not thinking about how the same thing happened to her and she was totally fine with it. i also think it wasn't talked about how Delilah went back to Rhys and used him for sex to end up mad at him for thinking she was going to forgive him afterward and how she did not apologize for using him and just walked out like nothing happened. I also found myself slightly annoyed at how Delilah handled Rhys groveling, she would constantly lead him on as if she would forgive him and then go off on him blaming him for all types of things. I will say the groveling was absolutely well done. I loved how Rhys really thought outside of the box and did things not only to get Delilah back but also save her from any humiliation that could have been caused from what he had done.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading her books again.

i feel like every time i remember this series i find a new book is out which is convenient timing for me but this book was cute like it’s for sure more of a relationship focused book than character but i don’t mind like the main couple are cutesies together and i love love the main girl and how she banters w the main guy but also like this girl doesn’t give a fuck she won the idgaf wars i love her. i wish there was more to her character w her insecurities about her body like it was a constant issue for her throughout the book but it isn’t really focused on or developed rather it’s like she feels self conscious w what happened w the main guy but then he makes her feel confident in her body bc he’s w her yk but i wanted more like how she learns to love herself that would’ve been great character growth for her. tbh the main guy had a lot of character growth i feel we get more his individual story w his family and his abuse which is interesting and does a lot for his likeability bc he makes dumb choices but he’s complex like i get why he did that and all that. i like that he’s apart of the cool group but he’s more nerdy but still charming like nerdy people can be hot fr like he has sm charisma i love him. how he got together w the main girl is a lil crazy to me tho like damn if someone told me i was terrible at sex i would just disappear but hey man wanted to learn which is kinda sweet i suppose and he did learn and then it got deeper than just sex like i love the contrast between his music taste and the main girl’s vs the main girl’s and her old crush’s like they like the same artists while the main girl hates her crush’s music but also what a coincidence her sister likes the music her old crush likes and they’re gonna have a book together ugh like these are the little details i love. no but i’m mad at the main girl’s sister bc how she gonna get w a guy that made mean ass comments about her sister’s weight i forgot whether she knew about it but hmm ew. also i hate that the main guy and his friends tolerate the weirdo freak charles like even in the last book he was mad weird why y’all being near him but also he’s in a suite w him but ew and him calling the main girl the ugly twin got me heated like why do authors make their villains so easy to hate like i have anger issues i can’t do this. but anyways the third act breakup was lowkey like early i was surprised but i liked it that way so it’s not rushed and i felt like the groveling was a good pace and bro the main guy gets me good like why he sending emails of voice recordings of him reading her his fav book series and then sharing little comments at the end like he’s sweet stop bring back sweet main leads i’m tired of these alpha male possessive shit (i eat it up every time) but like i love a good sweet main guy and then they get back together after he embarrassed himself and roleplays in front of the whole school like ok it hurt me second hand embarrassment but it’s sweet and the main girl deserves it. ugh i wish there was more stuff about the main girl even w her family bc we know she doesn’t like her family and parents but they’re not even introduced like only her brother is. love her tho even tho i get crumbs of the main girl’s past she’s such a sweet character especially love her relationship w her sister like they’re each other’s rocks warms my heart. the epilogue tho kinda threw me off bc it was the main guy’s sister getting married and the main couple having babies like the main guy being a professor makes sense bc he’s like nerdy and loves literature but the main girl is an accountant like i wish we knew more about her personal interests so the epilogue makes sense for her like she’s a mother i can see her liking that but idk i wanted more for her but again sometimes you’re just not passionate about things and end up doing a career and that isn’t who you are oo i’m relating to her a little too much rn but anyways the book is cute i enjoyed it i’m giving it like a 8.5/10.

This is such a brilliant read.
Delilah and Rhys is a match I didn't see coming.
It seems that Rhys does everything he can to antagonise Delilah but they do start to get closer and we see so much of Rhys' life and what he struggles with. It turns out that they both have the same problems with their self esteem and families that don't see them.
I loved how they were together when they were falling in love but when someone comes between them can they ever get back to what they were.
A must read full of emotion and drama and so many tears but also so much love.
I absolutely loved the ending and can't wait for the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This was such a funny, sweet, and emotional book! I ended up enjoying this even more than I thought I would since Rhys kind of came off as a jerk in the first book. He may come off as an unlikeable character at the beginning of the book, but there is a lot more to his character. Julia Wolf does such an amazing job with writing characters with more layers. She is somehow able to make each book better than the last with her series.

Rhys and Delilah have an unconventional and awkward start, but it was very funny and relatable. They have a quickie together during a school trip, which does not go well for Delilah. Rhys was pretty selfish, and it was an extremely unsatisfying experience for her. She basically ignores him and acts like nothing happened after this failed sexual encounter, and Rhys demands to know why. It was hilarious when Delilah gave it to him straight and explained how bad it was. This was funny and relatable because most high school guys are not the best sexual partners like they are written in most romance novels. Instead of him getting defensive and arguing about his skills, Rhys wants lessons so he can become a better lover. This made him much more likable, and we started to see more of the real Rhys.

Rhys has been hiding who he really is by coming off as rude and uncaring. However, Rhys has the biggest heart and is going through so much with his family. I loved how he dived into his sex lessons and how hard he fell for Delilah.

Side note: I absolutely loved the scene where Beckett explains how to go down on a girl to Rhys.  It was hilarious and reminded me why I loved him in the first book.

Delilah was such a strong, selfless, and beautiful character. She had such an amazing relationship with her twin sister, who is on the spectrum. She made sacrifices and changes in her life in order to protect her sister. They were such a solid unit and provided support and love for one another.

Rhys makes a big mistake before he starts falling for Delilah, which ends up being extremely hurtful to Delilah, and he has to grovel.

The groveling in this book was amazing and one of my favorite grovels I have read in a romance. Rhys was such a tender, sweet boy, and he had me swooning in this book. Let me just say his daily emails reading his favorite fantasy novel to her……so sweet.

This was another amazing Julia Wolf book, and I just love the Savage world she has created. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Who knew fencing could be so hard-core?

It was alright. I loved that they didn't start on the right side and it went down hill from there.
