the biggest issue i have with this book is the age gap, it’s a little much, however i enjoyed the smut as always and the religious side really made me think and reflect

Audio listened on:
2/5 2024. Rating still 5 stars.
11-12/4 2023. Rating still 5 stars.
15-16/9 2021. Rating still 5 stars.
17-18/2 2020. Rated 5 stars.

Update 18/2 2020:
I've had this series on my tbr shelf for YEARS and I can't believe I've waited this long to finally read it.

But holy shit, I loved this! Jacob Morgan was PERFECT for this audio book and I know he's narrating the first two books as well and I can't wait to listen to both of them. He's one of my favorite male narrators and he did an amazing job - as always!

Age difference: 15 years. He's 36 and she's 21.

CW: (semi spoiler) || on-page, drawn-out description of the death of a loved one ||

I’m really torn about how to rate this because Sierra Simone is an incredible writer but something about the way he talked about her youth gave me the ick. I think it’s the number of times he calls her “my sweet little nun” or variations with the word “little,” which is a reference to her age. I also wanted to puke every time he called her “little Zenny-bug,” but that could just be me.

I greatly enjoyed Sierra Simone’s thoughts on God and sex; they won’t be for everyone, but I found them interesting and insightful.

And no, unlike other reviewers, I don’t think every single romance book ever written has to have dual POV. This was fine with just Sean’s POV; that wasn’t the issue.
