- halaman 25

I guess I'm that kind of person who can somewhat relate himself to Matt Haig (and I'm fond of him).
However, I didn't find this read so much different than his previous novel and memoir [b:Reasons to Stay Alive|25733573|Reasons to Stay Alive|Matt Haig|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1453057036l/25733573._SX50_.jpg|42923140] which I really liked. In the end, if you're looking for a read to relax and chill, finish it quickly - then you should pick this one.

This book is exactly what the title says, comforting.
Nothing really revolutionary. However, sometimes these cliché sayings is exactly what you need

I listened to this but now want a copy to have to refer back to some of the wonderful advice and lists. This book would be a great gift for those in your life who could use a bit of comfort and reassurance in themselves, but it's an even better gift for yourself.

Overall: comforting (lol) but also thought-provoking and challenging. Sometimes I feel like I’ve read so many “self-help” books that there aren’t very many new or original concepts that I read. But this book had some creative insights and I was impressed! It has little stories, short sayings, inspirational moments, challenges, call-outs, and more. This lived up to the hype for me and I almost gave it 4 stars (usually I reserve 5 stars for books that I GUSH over when finished). I also bookmarked some fave moments for future reminders.

Notable quote: “we stay precisely as alive and precisely as human as we were the day we were born. The only thing we need is to exist. And to hope.”

Does exactly what it says on the tin!
I was very lucky to receive an advanced reading copy of this wonderful book, and it arrived just as I was going through a painful break up.
I've got all of Matt Haig's books and both his fiction and non-fiction are fabulous, uplifting, honest and comforting.
The Comfort book is easy to dip into, full of lovely little anecdotes, poetry, advice, quotes and guidance, it helped me to make sense of what was zipping around in my brain and lifted my spirits.
A brilliant book, I can't fault it.

“Nothing is stronger than a small hope that doesn’t give up.”
All the stories referenced in this book give you inspiration, and a reminder to keep going. This was my second book by Haig, and I’m already such a fan of his writing. Dealing with anxiety, I will definitely be keeping this on my night stand to open whenever I need it.
