Obsessed

I have been obsessed with this series since book 1 first debuted back in 2020. I have also been obsessed with this author since then and have read every book she’s written or co-written!!

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!!

Charlie and Rage’s story starts out ROUGH but the character development that Rage goes through is astonishing!!

By the end of this book I loved Rage more than any other male character that RE has written!

Forget 5 or even 10 stars!! This is hands down one of my top favorite books this year!!

"If he was the Devil and this was his Hell, then I’d savor the flames as they swallowed me whole."

First of all, this is A LOT to take in. This is by far one of the darkest books in this series. Yes, there were dark themes and situations in the other books, but this one, you see it happening in real time. Please, please heed the trigger warnings because there are LOTS of them. I knew this was going to be tough read because our leading man was scary AF in previous books. Actually SEEING his POV, was scarier, darker, more tragic than I would have ever imagined! The things he's done to our FMC (and others) is **SUPPOSED** completely irredeemable. HOW DARE YOU MAKE ME LIKE & SYMPATHIZE WITH THIS MAN???? HE'S DONE AWFUL, AWFUL THINGS!!! Charlie, I totally loved her! She was a bit naive but also she was waaaaay overprotected, which I totally get why she rebelled. I think that she had such a huge heart and serious inner strength. The fact there were HUGE grumpy/sunshine vibes made this so much better. On to the finale of this series...i'm ready for serious sobbing.

I am... confused. I should not like this book, but I binge read it like my life depended on it. The blurb didn't lie when it said this is the darkest book out of the series. It's definitely capital D Dark.

While Bond did a good job
Spoilermaking me go from hating Rage to liking Rage
, I'm not sure I'm conviced I think it's believable. It's just something I can't wrap my head around. Perhaps that's a good thing. It definitely is the thing that makes me like all of the characters in this series so much. They're so f*cked up I can't relate, and I'm fine with that.

But yeah, dark, darker, darkest.

I went into reading this book excited to learn more about Rage but also terrified. Throughout the entire series he’s described as the devil himself but this book opened up my eyes completely to him and now I can say he’s probably one my favorite characters in this series. Absolutely loved this book and the story of Rage and Charlie. Definitely one of my favorites of the series, I wish the book was longer for sure, I kept finding myself wanting more of rage and Charlie’s story but I know they will be present in the next one so I will take that win!

I have been waiting for the story. I knew it was going to be brutal, dark and absolutely explosive and RE Bond delivered. I would have liked for it to be even longer or maybe a duet because I don’t think I can get enough of Rage and Charlie (I’m feeling a little greedy).

This is one of the author’s darker books, please read the trigger warnings before embarking on this journey. In saying that, a lot of the events had to happen with who Rage is. Obviously what Charlie goes through is horrible but with Rage’s track records did we really expect anything else? I think Charlie’s strength, resilience and her innocent/not so innocent personality and outlook really were the light in the story.

I can’t say much without giving a majority of the plot away. I will say that I think this book focused mainly on Charlie and Rage and the change of the dynamics between them. It also focused on how Rage conducts himself and the crews and how he changed. I loved getting to know him more, seeing him more as a person and learning about his past.

I feel like some of the crew staff may have been rushed a little bit at the end. However, the final book is coming soon which I think will finally tie up all the loose ends and expand things a bit more. There were some lines/comments to lead into the next book in regards to Rory. I think I’ve come to accept her very rapid mood swings so I can see why some things happened the way that they did.

I can’t wait for the conclusion of the series. I love the world that the author has created and I feel like I’ve become so invested in these characters. My favorite books of the series have been Jade, Lexi and Charlie’s stories so I’m looking forward to seeing how all the characters connect and how the author will conclude the series.

I’ll never understand how an authors mind works. RE Bond is not different. The worlds and characters in them she brings to life with her words are nothing short of amazing. So many characters and storylines and she does them flawlessly.

I’m not sure if I’m toxic, my traumas are showing, she’s that good of an author, or a mixture of all of that, but she had me loving Rage! In reality, I’d wish him dead, but in this fictional world, I’m all for him and Charlie!

Wrath Of Rage by R.E. Bond is a dark romance. This is the seventh book in the Watch Me Burn series.

The book comes with a warning; "This MF book is the darkest in the series. It has kidnapping, and severe abuse and rape content between the leading characters."

I absolutely love Rachael's books! She does an amazing job pulling you into the story. I am not going to lie in the beginning of the book I couldn't stand Charlie but by the end I fell in love in love with her. Her relationship with Rage is so messed up but you couldn't help but root for them by the end. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the final book in the series Sinners Reign to be released on March 10, 2022.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, captive romances, or romantic suspense.
