Mmmm just wasn’t for me tbh. Idk i feel like i should’ve liked it, but i just couldn’t get into it. Idk if it was the characters or the style of writing. I finished it because i was 80% through it and couldn’t bring myself to dnf at that point.

I picked up *Once You're Mine* by Morgan Bridges after hearing great things online, but unfortunately, it didn’t fully live up to my expectations. While I usually enjoy stalker/possessive alpha billionaire romances, I found it difficult to get into this one. The pacing felt a bit slow for my taste, and I had trouble staying engaged.

That said, it might have been more about my mood at the time than the book itself. The story does end on a cliffhanger, which has left me curious enough to pick up the second book—I’m eager to see how it all wraps up.

Overall, while it wasn’t a favorite for me, it could be a hit for someone more in the mood for this type of romance.

Just not good at all

For starters, one thing that pulls me out of the story is when authors reference things they’ve done no research on and have no knowledge of. She’s speaking about a firearm and uses the word nozzle instead of muzzle and talks about removing all the rounds from the chamber. The chamber of a handg*n holds one. Also, for a 1st person POV, you should not be using a thesaurus to write. Nobody thinks like that in their head. If it had been 3rd person, it wouldn’t be so jarring to see all of it, but that’s just not how people’s stream of consciousness works. The whole story is very rushed. MMC is a prosecuting attorney who commits violent crimes openly and unmasked? With zero consequences or anybody recognizing him as a prosecutor?? The main problems in the story are: the stalker and the killer. Neither issue is resolved for the FMC before the book ends. What in the wattpad is this book??? And how does it have so many good reviews?

My expectation for this book was moderate because I was unfamiliar with the author. The story was decent and easy to read . A few spelling errors and missing words didn’t detract from it. I haven’t read a stalker dark romance story before so that’s a first. As for Calista and Hayden they are a match made in heaven. Hayden is obsessed with Callie. Even goes so far as to stalk her steal her pearl necklace and panties. Callie is dealing with her misfortune that took her from high society to living in a dilapidated apartment and working at a coffee shop. Hayden comes to defend Callie from a very angry costumer. I forgot to mention this man is a killer and he killed her father. I gave this story three stars . There is a part two which will continue this tale from where it left off. I think. Anyways , if you need me I’ll be reading it.
