I said I wouldn't read another one of this authors books, yet here I am! So I guess I don't hate them too much...
Wicked Cravings is the second book in the Phoenix Pack series. Jamie is a werewolf with a secret, and Dante is determined to find it out, at all costs. I enjoyed the plot of this book MUCH more then the first book, Feral Sins. Jamie was not as courageous or hilarious of a heroine as Taryn, but I felt the progression of the book and the feelings she was experiencing were a little more realistic in my mind. That does not mean I think the plot was good, I just think it was better...
I think the author also did a better job of her transitions from Dante to Jamie, but I still find the book lacking a lot of imagery on characters especially, as well as places. I found some repetition from the first book in the dialogue and manerisms, but overall I think it was a better book then Feral Sins and could be read as a stand alone book without too much confusion.
As I said in review of the first book, the sex scenes were hot and steamy, so if you're looking for an easy read shifter romance without too much substance, this book is a 5 star. If you want detailed imagery, complex characters, emotions, and situations it might not quite be what you're looking for.

This is my first real 5 star of the year. When Taryn was giving birth I was DYING laughing. I love this author because the random jabs and jokes are truly funny and well placed. I also need a book of nothing but Gretta and all the shit she gives and receives from all the girls.

THE ANGST!
Honestly, I started reading because of the way I KNEW he would be like "wtf" when she stopped flirting.
Dante needed a reality check and Jaime said "Hello, it's me.". She really said, I don't care anymore, and he went crazy, obsessed, and all things I adore.
Dante and Jaime deserve the world for how they earned their love. Their relationship was fought for, making it so much sweeter in the end.
Especially Jaime, she is selfless and so caring. Her brother and she deserve the world and the family they found with the Phoeneix pack.

So, I'm rereading this series and realized I never reviewed these when I first read them. Oops.
Not much to say for this one though. Interesting and entertaining. Truth be told I didn't particularly like Jamie. If I remember correctly I found it difficult to like most of the heroines in this series because most are dominant. And it's not that they're dominant/independent that bug me it's perhaps how SW portrays that dominant attitude in their individual personality that irks me. So no, at times Jamie just comes across as contrary and stubborn. Not great traits for any female let alone a dominant one. Did I like her? Sure at times. Frankly her thought process could be taxing and some of her insults and "one liners" were not even remotely funny to me whereas someone else might be laughing their ass off. Younger me would've def laughed but it's takes more to do it these days. Some were funny but I just felt the way Jamie's personality was written at times felt too try hard, ya know? Always gotta have a smartass remark. And you bet your ass if she's told to do something she intentionally did the opposite. Completely contrary and frustrating. Though with Jamie she was atleast open about how she wasn't gonna do what she was told to do
Dante was fun and I genuinely liked him. I also liked that Jamie and Dante had a past connection to build off of.
// rant incoming...
Truthfully the one thing I didn't like and this applies to the entire damn series is the need to call Dominic a "pervert" because he flirts and lays cheesy lines on every female he comes in contact with. Honest to God I wish someone would explain to me how that lands him in pervert territory. Sorry, no. He's just a flirt who obviously enjoys testing boundaries by putting cheesy pick up lines on other guys mates. Stupid? Sure. Perverted? Not even close. So on behalf of Dominic who I remember loving in his book later on, please stop. I know this occurs in the entire series but even years later I find it annoying and so stupid. Clearly SW meant it to be funny but it's not. The label of "Pervert" shouldn't be used lightly like that and not labeled on someone who isn't being one at all.

Mixed feelings because I listened to most of this on audible and the narrators sex voice was horrifyingly bad. I liked this book I didn’t write a review on the first one which I read years ago, but I think I felt the same way. The story, writing and characters are all good (not great but solid), but it underwhelms on spicy scenes. It’s like this is exactly the book I want to read but with more/better spice.

Unlike the previous book, this one did not work for me.
The heroine, Jaime Farrow, seems like a bad and boring copy of the previous heroine Taryn Warner. The fact that she also ended up being an alpha female had my eyes rolling.
However, the main male character Dante Garcea was even worse - a controlling and selfish dickhead who was a real pushover. Oh, how many times I imagined doing this to him in my mind:
He was a real pushover and a controlling freak who enjoyed making Jaime jealous and making her do anything he wants. The sex scenes were 10x worse. I also disliked the fact that he had a mate before Jaime and that she was thrown into the picture more than once - unnecessary and stupid.
