I read this entire series in a week to try to bump my reading goal at the end of the year and it was so worth it! VERY juvenile (the characters are like 10??) but VERY fun and honestly quite spooky!

The ending of the last book unfortunately felt rushed but I enjoyed the journey it took to get there! I still think about it all the time. I could talk about it forever.

2nd book (dead voices) was my fav by far!

My only complaint is I hated the name Every. Single. Character. Especially the bad guy. “Smiling man” sounds so creepy then you find out his real name and your like????????????

J’ai tout simplement adoré ! J’en ai des frissons!

Encore une fois, j’aime beaucoup que ce soit un personnage différent qui soit en charge de régler le problème dans chacun des tomes!

I was really disappointed by this one. I really love this series, but I found this book to be just a filler in the kids' story.

Much like that lurking menace in the cover, I gobbled up this book in a span of a few hours.
I remember its predecessors being much longer so getting to the last page was such a surprise, I couldn't believe how short it seemed.
Then again, all books are short if you love them as much as I love Small Spaces.

The fourth book can't come fast enough.

Plus the focus on different seasons? That's an aesthetic bonus I LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I'm just so attached to these kids, you'll feel like you're one yourself when you're between this book's pages.
You might as well cover the mirrors tonight while you're at it, too.

Continues to frighten and awe and tug on the heart strings. The eerieness wasn't too the same level in this book, as the supernatural begins to overlap with the real world (the parents) and is no longer contained. I also personally found that the snake/monster thing wasn't as scary in the same way (biological vs supernatural?). However, Captain Sheehan's backstory was heart wrenching.
